Absolutely amazing food and service. Callum served my partner and I, this member of staff could not do enough for us. He made our anniversary dinner a night to remember and it is one we will always remember. Thank you so much for the service we recieved and the food was second to none, thank you so much for an absolutely pleasant evening.

Lovely full breakfast, sitting on the balcony taking in the view. We were the only table for breakfast which is a shame as the menu is good and reasonably priced.

The ambience helped by the wonderful outlook over the bay, the restaurant is bright which we liked and tables not too crowded. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The menu is not expensive.

We stayed here at the Dylan Coastal Resort and came to the Milkwood House to dine. Unfortunately, we were sat for at least half an hour with no drink order taken or dinner menus to read. It was apparent that there were one set of menus for the entire restaurant which meant every table had to wait for the previous table to order. Although, the food was outstanding. Hot and fresh, all meat of a superbly high quality. Our gentleman waiter, was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely accommodating and even took all of our drinks off the bill to apologise for the wait. Overall, the restaurant is stunningly decorated, has fantastic food but the service needs refinement; the restaurant would then be of top notch quality.

We arrived and were seated immediately, the location is amazing and the food when it came was very good. We waited 40 minutes for our drinks and would have probably had to wait longer if we hadn’t asked for someone to take our order. The waiter clearly didn’t want to be there and we were made to feel like an imposition. The management are responsible for the training of their staff and it’s a shame that customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority. The restaurant wasn’t especially busy so that wasn’t the issue. It’s a shame as the food and location were lovely.

We booked a table for Father’s Day. The starters were average and both dishes seemed to be over garnished with salad in an attempt to make the portions look bigger. Overall we had a nice meal but there are some improvements that could be made: 1) the restaurant was quiet so there were a few staff milling around but we still had to wait in a queue to be seated because the couple in front of us were trying to book a table for another day which appeared to be taking some time 2) we tried ordering a bottle of wine and it took 10 minutes for a member of staff to inform us that it was out of stock. We chose another bottle and this was also out of stock. Much to our disappointment we were told that they were out of stock of a lot of the higher end/more expensive bottles and we would have to chose from the cheaper options. This was very disappointing and was obviously down to a stock management issue so something for management to bear in mind when they are ordering stock in preparation for a weekend/special occasion such as Father’s Day. 3) after finishing our food, plates were left on the table for quite some time. We had our little one with us and he kept reaching for the plates and cutlery which staff could see but chose to ignore. In the end, after about 20 minutes I had to request for the plates to be cleared away. Again, this wasn’t done immediately at staff seem more concerned in cleaning the empty tables and setting them ready for the next day (we were the last sitting as the kitchen closed at 5pm). The views from the restaurant are beautiful and the decor and ambience are also lovely. I personally feel that improvement to the level of service could be made but maybe the issues we experienced were down to new staff/lack of training or experience etc. Maybe if we decide to return in the near future, I would hope to see these rectified.
