The view from the restaurant over the Taf Estuary was stunning and the room was top end. Food menu was limited and expensive for what was served. However, the service was absolutely ABYSMAL. Our table of three plus all of the other tables on what was a quiet evening were complaining due to lack of service, plates not being cleared, staff not checking for drinks orders or desserts, and not even checking diners out when the bill had been eventually presented. I heard one staff member tell the people beside us "All I do in here is say sorry to customers", and that about summed up our experience. I do not recommend Milk Wood House at the Dylan Coastal Resort.

Stunning location, Milkwood House has everything. We were welcomed with a smile - and the service was excellent especially when we weren’t ready to order and our waitress showed great patience coming back to check every 5 or so minutes. The food was delicious and offered a wide variety to suit all tastes. The salmon was perfect and the chocolate brownie was one of the best I’ve tasted. This was a first time for us - a group of four- and we will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful evening in a world class setting.

Wonderful lunch with friends , lovely food, our waitress Gwennan looked after us so well , thoroughly enjoyed. We will return.

Absolutely amazing food and service. Callum served my partner and I, this member of staff could not do enough for us. He made our anniversary dinner a night to remember and it is one we will always remember. Thank you so much for the service we recieved and the food was second to none, thank you so much for an absolutely pleasant evening.

Lovely full breakfast, sitting on the balcony taking in the view. We were the only table for breakfast which is a shame as the menu is good and reasonably priced.

The ambience helped by the wonderful outlook over the bay, the restaurant is bright which we liked and tables not too crowded. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The menu is not expensive.

We stayed here at the Dylan Coastal Resort and came to the Milkwood House to dine. Unfortunately, we were sat for at least half an hour with no drink order taken or dinner menus to read. It was apparent that there were one set of menus for the entire restaurant which meant every table had to wait for the previous table to order. Although, the food was outstanding. Hot and fresh, all meat of a superbly high quality. Our gentleman waiter, was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely accommodating and even took all of our drinks off the bill to apologise for the wait. Overall, the restaurant is stunningly decorated, has fantastic food but the service needs refinement; the restaurant would then be of top notch quality.

We arrived and were seated immediately, the location is amazing and the food when it came was very good. We waited 40 minutes for our drinks and would have probably had to wait longer if we hadn’t asked for someone to take our order. The waiter clearly didn’t want to be there and we were made to feel like an imposition. The management are responsible for the training of their staff and it’s a shame that customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority. The restaurant wasn’t especially busy so that wasn’t the issue. It’s a shame as the food and location were lovely.
