On arrival we were unsure where to park as the place is mostly for holidaymakers or people living in high standard bungalows. There are barriers rising when car is in front of them. After parking in the last space (there are not many places to park!) there is a gentle uphill walk for about 200 M (300 yards?). There is sort of taxi service to take customers from parking to restaurant, but no way of knowing how to call it. We are fit and weather was sunny! (1 OCTOBER) so no issues for us. The restaurant is in a beautiful spot with panoramic view on estuary through huge glass wall. Decor is modern but classy with many interior designer accents. Clean, smart, well kept, including toilets. Very pleasant to the eye. Marble looking tables are bigger then in most restaurants and chairs or rather armchairs comfortable to sit in. Tables are in decent distant from each other. Very, very pleasant surprise so far. We did not expected this sort of standard on the side of forgotten coastal village with narrow roads. Nevertheless it seems that they cater for better off customers who managed to found this tranquil place. The meals prices are average! No rip off. We had lunch there. Fish and chips tasted good. Home made tartare sauce was best I ever had. I am not a fan of mushy peas, but that's just me. Still it was better than in most pubs anyway. The waiter JACK helpful and polite. All in all you can take your boss here or even future in laws! Promotion or wedding guaranteed.

Our first time visiting Milkwood house today and couldn’t say a bad thing about the whole experience. We had the spa day package and my partner and I loved every bit of the day. The facilities were incredible with such a gorgeous view. The treatment (massage) was perfect & the lunch was honestly 10/10. Overall the value for money for this package was beyond worth it. We would definitely come back and also loved the look of the lodges so hopefully will book to stay in future. Thank you for an amazing day.

Beautiful views and decor, service needs attention. Staff were disorganised and happy to share the fact. No larger on tap, no Aperol, ok delivery due Tuesday but Sunday lunch should be a busy service? Wouldn't stock be at a level,to cope? Sunday lunch was hot, beautiful meat, veg none existent. Quarter roasted carrot and Parsnip, half a potato roasted, with a random bowl of cabbage and peas? Just bizarre.... General chat in Laugharne is "great for a drink, skip the food" have to agree..... Didn't even get he drink right. Such a shame for a fabulous venue with huge potential which we would love to support,

When we arrived at the site it was raining and we didn't know as it was our first visit that it was an uphill walk to the restaurant area. As we are both 80 with my husband who has heart problems we were not happy. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told we could have had a concierge to drive us up to the restaurant. I think this should be stated on the Open Table booking for first timers? We did not see the notice at the car park as we had our hoods up over our faces due to the rain. The service and staff were excellent but I am afraid that my parsnip was so undercooked I could not cut it and I was given another one. There was a lot of fat on the beef so when that was cut off there was only 2 small pieces of meat. I do not eat peas and as they were mixed with the undercooked cabbage and there was only one small piece of cauliflower cheese I am sorry to say I was not very impressed with the meal. As we did not know how large the main course would be we did not order starters so we ordered bread and butter pudding but that was not hot so overall very disappointed. The best part of the experience was the view albeit it did rain quite a bit and the building itself was very impressive.

A lovely location with great views. Staff were very polite and attentive. Some of the food was par for the cost, some a bit below with some odd and unpublished flavours added. Overall a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed it that much we have booked a week in a lodge next summer. One of the best burgers I have ever tasted and amazing service with one of the most stunning views you could wish to take in. 😎

Experience overall was good, a few things were forgotten. Food was nice but not much of it for the price, it’s not fine dining so I’d expect a little more for the price. Children’s meals were free which was a nice bonus but no option to have anything extra with the meals and the kids were still hungry. No starters for children either. Also would have been nice if the kids could have had pizza from the pizza oven but not an option either.
