Le LuxBar est inspiré par l'œuvre d'Adolf Loos, dont « l'American Bar » a été conçu et construit au début du XXe siècle à Vienne. Le bar a capturé une élégance dans la simplicité ; un style qui a influencé grandement le travail de Frank Lloyd Wright et d'autres architectes américains de la Prairie School. L'établissement doté de pierre, de verre, de laiton et de bois baignés de lumière naturelle, s'intègre à merveille dans le quartier. We have been to the Lux Bar several times. Last night appeared to be an off night. Service wasn’t very good. We placed our order, didn’t see our wait server for quite some time, and then the manager came over to let us know that there was a spill in the kitchen and our order was impacted. We again waited for another +30 minutes and the food arrived. The order of pretzels was overcooked - hard, the classic burger was not warm. I didn’t get an opportunity to complain as it was another +30 minutes until the wait server came back and we asked for our check. I didn’t feel it was worthwhile to complain.

Seat on the street was so fun and beautiful. Can’t get over the atmosphere here. Could have sat there all day. Beautiful spot to hang with family or friends.

I will never return to this establishment! This was a complete waste of time and money all because of bad service on Jessica’s part. She was absolutely AWFUL, professionally and personally. I WOULD NOT recommend this location for any company outings, special occasions, or family dinners. You will be better off spending your money at a dog or homeless shelter.

I have been going here for years and it is always consistent. The one annoyance is that I always make a “reservation” and the past few times that I go a table is never ready. We had to wait 25 minutes to be seated and then they tried to seat us at an undesirable high top. It would be nice if making a reservation meant something.

Lux Bar has a very fun and vibrant atmosphere but servers seem overwhelmed with the volume of people so it is a bit slow. Personally, all of the food needed more seasoning. The sauces were good for the chicken tenders but the tenders themselves were very plane as well as the tomato soup.
