   Food was nice as was decor, found the piano music was somewhat annoying, our waiter was very brash and not the warm service we wanted. There are definitely better restaurants in St Albans

   Lussmans is fabulous we have been going there since it opened many years ago. Our favourite starter has always been the camembert so we were pleasantly surprised to see it back on the menu. We were even given the recipe many years ago. No where else could match Lussmans original Camembert starter. However, we were a bit disappointed as it was half the size it used to be and didn't have the usual flavourings in it. Apart from that we had a lovely evening and the rest of the food was fantastic.

   The waiting staff were lovely but think they may have been a bit understaffed. The main I ordered wasn’t available but they didn’t realised until a long way into service (a while after clearing the starters) so we then had to wait a long time for mains - which meant the kids got a bit crouchy and we were there a bit longer than anticipated. Food was nice overall though.

   We love Lussmanns! Delicious, well presented food made with top quality thoughtfully sourced ingredients - this is our go-to restaurant for a special night out together. Great wine list too. Service is excellent - unobtrusive and well timed. We sat upstairs this time, which, being smaller, feels a bit more intimate. The main restaurant has a more open, bustling feel but you can be in your own little world at your table. There’s also a private dining room on the ground floor - we’ve not had occasion to book it yet but it’s in my mind for the future. Keep up the great work Andrei!
