Excellent food from an interesting and varied menu. Service was friendly and efficient, and we had a really good recommendation for wine from our waitress.

My favourite place to eat in St Albans for a special occasion. Great food , lovely atmosphere and smart but relaxed atmosphere.

Service throughout attentive - warm welcome on arrival and dishes served at a nice pace - not rushed but not uncomfortable gaps between courses. It was Tuesday lunchtime and the downstairs area of the restaurant was almost full. We selected the Primitivo Maioliche which was reasonably soft and smooth with pleasant dark fruit flavours. This complemented nicely the pasta and meat dishes we had. All of the food was nicely presented and the quality was very good. I particularly liked the Crab Linguine starter.

Another great meal in Lussmanns - St Albans. Limited fixed price menu at lunch time is great value, and portions are the same as the full price menu options. Good friendly service during a busy service. No rush to get us to leave, so we lingered over coffees.

I wonder whether l can attach a photo of my main course? An absolute joke - my Greek feta salad was minuscule - lucky l took a photo. Am writing directly to the Managing Director.

Hello Amanda I agree without tomatoes the Greek salad is not big enough. That said, had we been advised we would have happily exchanged the tomatoes with other ingredients or provided an alternative dish as the tomato component is the main part of the dish. As always if advised we can always find an alternative, that is why we are very much the locals restaurant unlike the brands. We also have an impressive online menu portal providing ingredients and had you reviewed prior you could have asked before or during your meal. You're one star review is not a fair indication of the 6 diners and I feel a poor representation of what we do. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your meal but we must rely on common sense. Excellent quality fish dishes and service. I would recommend the set menu for value for money. NB We did denote the booking as our anniversary but that was missed. This doesn’t constitute a complaint but it is a useful observation to make for future customers, I think? All in all a lovely evening, thank you

We go to Lussmans St Albans often. The staff are loverly and welcoming, the food is great. We go on a Friday as that’s the day fish and chips is on the menu. It is delicious. We do go during the week sometimes too and eat from the main menu. I can highly recommend a visit.

We booked lunch with family to celebrate our son’s graduation at the cathedral. Service was brilliant, food was perfect and we had a wonderful time.
