First time at Lussmans. Excellent food, attentive service. Looking forward to a return visit when next in St Albans.

We left after 20 minutes waiting, with no drinks or menu having being offered. The restaurant was understaffed and we did not want to spend an evening waiting ages at every stage. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get to try any.

We have been regular customers of Lussmans for years, but the last few meals that we have had, have not been of the previous standard. In particular, two of the vegetarian options have been of a relatively poor quality. Fritters that did not in the least resemble fritters a few weeks ago in Harpenden and a goats cheese salad that had a miniscule amount of cheese in it for £16.50 in St Albans. We will be giving Lussmans a rest for a while. Somehow the standard of food seems to have changed for the worse. Staff remain pleasant and helpful. I am sad to say that at present I would not recommend Lussmans to a friend although I have often done so in the past.

We wanted a quiet family meal following my wife’s funeral and Lussmanns delivered impeccably. Delicious food, excellent service and a lively atmosphere. Perfect!

Starters were quite poor. Main course was better but we sent back cold food. They service was outstanding

The early summer menu had lots of enticing choices. I'm glad I had the Mackerel nicoise to start followed by the Hake puttanesca. Perfect dining experience.

I made a reservation for 4 people at 6pm. Each person ordered 3 courses, and we also ordered a bottle of white wine. After finishing our meal, we continued chatting. At 8pm, we were asked to leave the table, even though no one was waiting for a table and there were plenty of empty tables available. It was truly strange and disappointing. I will not be dining there again.

I have been a stranger here for too long since covid , we were warmly welcomed, our requests all delivered with a smile, the quality of the food was exceptional, the young waiting staff were a credit to the manger / trainer , Will most certainly be back
