Really lovely celebration meal space. Staff could not have been more accommodating and knowledgeable. Service was excellent from the greeting at the door to the goodbye on departure. They found us a bigger table so we had more space for baby, helped us with menu choices, explained each dish whilst we were ordering, were attentive to empty drinks throughout the meal and gave a very warm farewell as we left. Absolutely faultless. Food was also great - I had the crab linguine which I would definitely have again next time, and the sole which was really well cooked. Others on the table sounded very pleased with theirs too (vegan lamb flatbread, shepherds pie, fishcake) and baby enjoyed their junior meal. So nice to see a junior menu that has some interesting choices on it. We chose not to have dessert but they brought out a scoop of ice cream with a candle in as we had mentioned a birthday on the booking. Very thoughtful! We will be back to enjoy it again and so glad we found it - highly recommend!

Gorgeous food and lovely service. Subtle background music would have been nice as the tables are quite close together

Great meal with nice choices on the menu. Food was delicious. Waitress was attentive without being too attentive. Really enjoyed our meal. Loved the organic wine, Primitivo.

Food was delicious and excellent sized portions, and waiting staff were attentive and very pleasant. An all round lovely experience.

Made the mistake of thinking it was like your sister restaurant in Harpenden. Nothing like it, it’s not ladies that lunch, it’s very much children central!! Nothing wrong with that, we’ve all been there! BUT, a special lunch venue it’s not. Staff are great as is food but, if you want an elegant restaurant with great ambience, choose somewhere else.

Upon arrival, the manager immediately engaged in changing seating arrangements because of my mobility problems. I chose from the new Early Autumn menu, kipper croquettes and Cullen Skink, both of which were absolutely delicious. The vinho verde was a perfect match for both dishes from a small but well-chosen wine list. I finished with the plum crumble, beautifully blended with Rosemary. The staff were very alert and the service was exceptional.

Lovely evening with friends Great food and service, our waitress was obviously new as was being supported by a colleague, they both were very professional an did a great job serving us Love Lussmans my favourite restaurant 🥰

Excellent food from an interesting and varied menu. Service was friendly and efficient, and we had a really good recommendation for wine from our waitress.

My favourite place to eat in St Albans for a special occasion. Great food , lovely atmosphere and smart but relaxed atmosphere.
