Great terrace on a lovely sunny evening. Service was very prompt. Had chicken friccasse, the special of the day, it wasn’t very special. I’m not a big fish eater so probably not the best place for me!

Good experience in the pretty courtyard. Staff good and friendly as always here. Had set menu for dinner which is great value . While we really appreciate price of set menu , the sole dish has no sides so needed to add £10 for veg and potatoes, would prefer a small veg or carb on this main dish.

Great menu options and a lovely environment. The garden is lovely on a summer evening and it’s great to know that the ingredients are sustainably sourced.

We decided to go to Lussmanns at Berkhamstead at the last minute on a Sunday. It was no trouble booking a table and when we arrived a bit early they were very accommodating and we were able to go straight to our table. Service was very polite and attentive and the food was excellent. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

We arranged to meet friends for Sunday lunch and I suggested Lussmans as I had driven past and noticed their sign in the window for Sunday roast. They have a set menu/price for 2 or 3 courses. Our friends happily chose the set menu but my husband and I chose roast beef. None of us were disappointed! My friend had the beetroot starter and said it was the most tasty beetroot she had ever eaten! The roast beef turned up with thick cut, melt in the mouth, perfectly cooked beef. The vegetables arrived separately in a dish and I looked at it thinking I was going to have to share with my husband, but then another dish arrived! It was all so delicious, we will definitely be back. Thank you

A quiet lunch with friends was enhanced by the quiet, comfortable surroundings. Very good and attentive service. The food was very good and good value too.

Good pint of Shamrock, Cornish Sole was excellent but did not realise it came with no compliments. My wife enjoyed her Burger, overall very enjoyable

My first time at any Lussmans and I was not disappointed. Classy interior, great service that suggested knowledge, professional pride and sincerity. A varied menu. with food as promised and with fresh ingredients.
