OUR SUNDAY CARVERY RETURNS IN SEPTEMBER 2024!

On the edge of the Cotswolds, the Holt Hotel is only 10 minutes from Blenheim Palace and Bicester Village and a 25-minutes drive from Oxford Centre.

The hotel offers 87 individually styled bedrooms, as well as a restaurant, a bar, nine meeting and conference suites, free parking plus free Wi-Fi. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, TV, free tea and coffee.

Guests can enjoy the comfort of Highwayman's Bar and Lounge, which serves food daily using fresh, seasonal produce from local supplier. You can also enjoy a large range of lagers, wines and spirits. Teas and coffees are served all day from 11 am.

The food on the Carvery was outstanding. Complements to the Chef and his team. All the front of house staff were also very helpful. This is good value for money.

We went to the Holt for their Sunday carvery. Meat served was good (though the beef was a little blue !) and most of the vegetables were cooked well (not mush!) the gravy was very thin & watery & everything lacked seasoning. The service was prompt with polite & friendly staff but we all agreed it was hugely overpriced for both the quality & range of dishes available. We paid £25 each for our cavery, at least £5 more than another local restaurant whose Sunday lunch is outstanding. All in all, not an unpleasant lunch but wouldn’t want to spend my hard earned money there again.

All staff extremely happy, friendly and attentive. Felt that the food could have been a bit hotter. Must admit that the roast beef was quite tough.

We were in the annexe so it felt cold, the table was soo big we struggled to hear each other talk Food was okay but not piping hot, carvery meat was too thick Cold puddings n cream left out on the side under lights It was okay but I wouldn’t rush back

We had a Sunday buffet lunch at the Holt as a second wedding anniversary celebration. The staff were lovely, those around 2 years ago remembering us which was lovely. It was probably the best buffet I have had. The range of veg was excellent. Thank you Holt.

A very enjoyable afternoon the food was delicious and it very relaxing the service was excellent I definitely recommend

Like eating in an elderly care facility. Food from the carvery was TERRIBLE The fish ordered separately from the kitchen was v good. The atmosphere was awful. Tables far apart, hard floors, no ambiance, terrible service. Asked for a jug of water for the table, we drank half then they just took it away. The buffet food was like a canteen at a primary school… mushy roast potatoes, fake yorkshires (frozen? Aunt Bessie’s?) absolutely dreadful experience. My sons meat was tough and I complained they’d given him the end overcooked but. I was glared at. Really unfriendly unpleasant experience. Left after 48 minutes and ten minutes of that was waiting for my salmon. Clearly popular with older people the food was all soft and mushy. Carrots like I’ve never experienced… oily and covered in honey. All revoting… Worst place I’d water in years and all for £55 with half a jug of free tap water (service charge added!!! For what??)

Good choice of food in the carvery, good service and nice round table for a party of 10. Nice touch with a birthday platter and chocolates

We did not stop for lunch as we were expecting carvery which was my mistake but when we were shown the menu for Sunday it was very poor choice. We did not want fish and chips or omelette and there was not much more to choose from Vegemite we have been before we have had a livery roast. We went somewhere else to get our dinner. Sorry!
