OUR SUNDAY CARVERY RETURNS IN SEPTEMBER 2024!

On the edge of the Cotswolds, the Holt Hotel is only 10 minutes from Blenheim Palace and Bicester Village and a 25-minutes drive from Oxford Centre.

The hotel offers 87 individually styled bedrooms, as well as a restaurant, a bar, nine meeting and conference suites, free parking plus free Wi-Fi. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, TV, free tea and coffee.

Guests can enjoy the comfort of Highwayman's Bar and Lounge, which serves food daily using fresh, seasonal produce from local supplier. You can also enjoy a large range of lagers, wines and spirits. Teas and coffees are served all day from 11 am.

We had a Sunday buffet lunch at the Holt as a second wedding anniversary celebration. The staff were lovely, those around 2 years ago remembering us which was lovely. It was probably the best buffet I have had. The range of veg was excellent. Thank you Holt.

A very enjoyable afternoon the food was delicious and it very relaxing the service was excellent I definitely recommend

Like eating in an elderly care facility. Food from the carvery was TERRIBLE The fish ordered separately from the kitchen was v good. The atmosphere was awful. Tables far apart, hard floors, no ambiance, terrible service. Asked for a jug of water for the table, we drank half then they just took it away. The buffet food was like a canteen at a primary school… mushy roast potatoes, fake yorkshires (frozen? Aunt Bessie’s?) absolutely dreadful experience. My sons meat was tough and I complained they’d given him the end overcooked but. I was glared at. Really unfriendly unpleasant experience. Left after 48 minutes and ten minutes of that was waiting for my salmon. Clearly popular with older people the food was all soft and mushy. Carrots like I’ve never experienced… oily and covered in honey. All revoting… Worst place I’d water in years and all for £55 with half a jug of free tap water (service charge added!!! For what??)

We did not stop for lunch as we were expecting carvery which was my mistake but when we were shown the menu for Sunday it was very poor choice. We did not want fish and chips or omelette and there was not much more to choose from Vegemite we have been before we have had a livery roast. We went somewhere else to get our dinner. Sorry!

Very disappointing carvery . The beef was overcooked and so tough I couldn’t cut it. When I complained it was replaced with pork which was ok but I had gone specifically for the beef. The roast potatoes were very greasy and not very crispy and the cauliflower was pvercooked. The pate was very mediocre. Would have expected much better at £35 for 3 courses.

Absolutely fantastic! Originally booked for the Sunday carvery but they phoned to advise it wouldn’t be on and we went anyway. The food as always was excellent, 3 lots of sausage and mash were devoured along with a delicious fish and chips and another burger and chips. All food arrived hot and plentiful. (my Mum’s sausages were even well done for her!) Dessert was a cheese and biscuits and a chocolate brownie, again both delicious. We were celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday and the staff very kindly provided a slice of cheesecake along with a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine which was an extremely kind gesture. For great service and great food, I highly recommend a visit here.

Really friendly and helpful staff, provided information for food intolerances, we had the club sandwich and the minute steak, both very tasty and good sized portions. Cozy and quiet (at least on a Thursday lunchtime). Good disabled facilities.
