The food here was completely awful. I had my suspicions about as this place has many bad reviews, but not a lot of choices in the area. The view was amazing but it is open air and was hot. The service was good and the food came out fast but was really bad. I had the shrimp pasta (3 shrimp) and the sauce tasted like it came out of a plastic bag and my fiancé had the $48 “fillet” and it was tough mystery meat. I am not sure where these people with 5 star reviews were eating but I can’t believe anyone would say this place is anything but bad. I believe this area is all about the views. I recommend leaving the hotel area to dine as all of the food is outrageously priced and not very good.

Waited 30 minutes for first order to arrive. Staff was overwhelmed by customer level. Food was okay. Sadly different than Marriott pre-storms.

Luna Mar is an observably well-run establishment, on a scenic location overlooking the south and west horizon on top Frenchman’s bay. The amazing beauty of the sunset, along with masterfully crafted drinks and artfully prepared dishes, was finally the perfect place for me to propose to my beautiful girlfriend. I would make this a must-dine if you like great service, intimate surrounding and breathtaking view.

A spectacular setting overlooking the ocean awaits you at Luna Mar. Monet, our server, provided us with recommendations for drinks and entrees. She was spot on with the Roasted Garlic Hummus as a starter, and the Tuscan Kale Salad and Shrimp Bucatini Carbonara as entrees which we enjoyed. She checked on us regularly which I appreciated. My wife was not feeling particularly well, and almost fell when she stood up the result of a dizzy spell. Monet saw her and called Security to check her out. She was fine, possibly a little dehydrated. Monet arranged for a shuttle back to our hotel. Kudos to her and the staff at the Luna Mar for their care and helpfulness, which will not be forgotten.

Our favorite restaurant so far in St Thomas. The food was outstanding and the view is gorgeous.
