Nestled within The Flat Iron Hotel, a historic boutique hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, Luminosa's carefully designed space radiates a welcoming tavern ambiance.     We appreciated that our table request was honored and take home flowers on the table for the birthday lady- nice touches. Half roasted chicken and gnocchi Gorgonzola were fabulous. The starter of bread was overpriced and unremarkable and took 45 minutes to arrive at our table. Our particular server was mostly in absentia although we witnessed the other servers as very attentive to their guests.

    Our dinner was outstanding. My wife had the lemon pizza and loved it. Bone marrow tots were also delicious. I had one of the pasta dishes which was great. Thanks

    A great night at Luminosa! The service of Franny and team was impeccable. We had the gnocchi and rigatoni. Both were delish and cooked perfectly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and located in great part of downtown Asheville.

    One of my favorite restaurants in the area now! Though pricy, the Italian inspired Appalachian fusion is worth it: the carpaccio, little gem salad, sausage rigatoni and the KC steak are excellent only items I don’t recommend are the vegetable sides.

    Our service was amazing and the place was fantastic. The food was good. Overall a wonderful experience. We ordered 4 different pastas. All good. The best thing we had however was the tiramisu. Best we’ve ever had.

    We enjoyed our time at Luminosa. The food was excellent, the decor was beautiful, and the drinks were excellent. Our server, Jared, was knowledgeable and accommodating. Great experience overall, will return!

    Truly delicious, creative, food. we had marrow tots appetizer, angolotti pasta, polenta, tomato, and zucchini (3)sides. Shared all.Tots to die for.Agnolotti delish but not hot. Polenta& tomato great, zucchini and sauce unsalted & tasteless-only thing we didn’t eat.Cocktail/mocktails good! The downside was noise, all hard surfaces.rock music blaring. They turned down on request, then back up.Not conducive to relaxing, chatting and enjoying good, high quality,food. Service good but extremely relaxed for those prices. $166 for two including 2 cocktails/2 wines, plus tip.please switch to jazz or something that is background.some sound dampening would be good. We noticed people yelling to talk as we left. great place, high decibels, we’ll try again for food not ambience.looks elegant but isn’t.

    Hello Dana, Thank you for dining with us and sharing your comments. Thank you for the 5-star rating on the food. We apologize for the music loudness and variation through-out the evening. We do adjust the volume based on the overall guest conversational decibels levels and you are correct some times there is a lot of conversational energy. Now that we are open and experiencing the restaurant at full capacity we are installing additional acoustic tiles to assist with dampening noise levels in a few areas within the restaurant.
