Where modern-Appalachian meets Italian-inspiration, Luminosa is bringing a hyperlocal lens to Italian cuisine, utilizing regional purveyors and local team member expertise to shape and curate the ever-evolving, seasonally driven offerings. Nestled within The Flat Iron Hotel, a historic boutique hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, Luminosa's carefully designed space radiates a welcoming tavern ambiance. Our culinary heart is a wood-burning oven, infusing a "touch of fire" into handmade pizzas, house-made pastas, and locally sourced vegetables.     First time diners at this beautiful restaurant. Will keep coming back to go through the entire menu!! A quiet table tucked in an alcove, charming and knowledgeable waiter, Jamie, and great food made for a wonderful Christmas dinner.

    Food was delicious and server was very knowledgeable but we waited for our food for a very long time and portions of pasta were small

I did look into this and discovered there was a period during the evening the kitchen got hit with multiple orders at the pasta station causing a delay.     Outstanding service from Dimitri. Lovely atmosphere. Inventive cocktails. Every dish seemed to have an unexpected element that enhanced the overall flavor. We were a party of six and everyone enjoyed everything. Only suggestion is to add a chocolate dessert to the menu. Highly recommend.

    A fantastic experience! I made rez strictly on OT reviews not knowing it was an Indigo Road Hospitality Group property of which I am a huge fan. If you are fortunate enough to land Ace N as your server, trust him on your adventure through the menu. His knowledge of flavors, preparation, and pairings were perfection. Bone marrow Tater Tots, charcoaled carrots, Chef Cut CAB, Tiramisu, Super Tuscan, and Nonino all amazing!!!!

    A superb dining experience. First rate staff, lovely, slightly upscale decor, solid wine list, imaginative and well executed menu, including a range of house-made bread, imaginative pizza and pasta, meats and more. Lots of parking nearby, two nice bars in-house.

    Everything was so wonderful…there was a party at the next table that made a lot of noise; mostly laughing. One woman needed to use her indoor voice and we had trouble hearing each other, but the food, drink, ambiance and holiday cheer was in the air, so it was all good!

    Excellent first experience at Luminosa. David was attentive and knew the menu inside and out. Only hiccup--and we didn't really care that much--was that the first course came out well before our first round of drinks arrived. But those bone marrow tots were piping hot and delicious, and we'd rather have tots hot and ready than lingering on the line... Lemon pizza second course was quite good--plenty for 4 to share. Entrees were really well prepared: the half chicken was as good as advertised by David, the coppa steaks were **outstanding**, and the skirt was perfectly cooked. We also had gnocchi, fusilli, polenta, kohlrabi and spinach--all plentiful to share and well executed. Everything was hot when it hit the table, which is vital for a great meal. The staff was on point, and there was good support on service. Desserts have to be next level to really stand out during a great meal, but the honeycomb concoction with the semi-freddo was inventive and delicious. This particular meal was one of just a handful I can recall here in Asheville where the $130/person/all-in was *really* worth it. But it was, and we'll be back.

    Jamie was a fabulous server! He provided lots of suggestions and made the meal fun for both of us. We also loved the speakeasy that we were offered to visit while we waited for our table, a very nice touch! Great food great service, we’d definitely recommend for anyone visiting Asheville
