Cheltenham’s newest MICHELIN Star - Lumiere is an elegant, ingredient-led, innovative, fine dining experience in the heart of Cheltenham. Lead by husband and wife team, Somerset born Chef Jon and general manager Helen, the restaurant has a focus on the best British produce sourced from a network of dedicated farmers, fishermen, producers & our own family run farm.
Since opening in January 2009, Lumiere has received numerous local and national awards including a MICHELIN Star, AA Restaurant of the Year for England, 3AA Rosettes and is regularly listed amongst the Top 20 Restaurants in the UK by Hardens and Tripadvisor. Jon was also shortlisted for Restauranteur of the Year by The Caterer for all of his efforts during the pandemic.

The whole experience and evening was excellent. The food and its presentation is superb. The only minor (very minor) negative was that the portion of hogget on the main course we felt could have been a tad more generous.

Second visit, so changed menu but equally as fantastic as my last visit. Food was excellent. Couldn’t fault the service. Well deserved of a Michelin star. Would recommend to anyone and will be returning in the future.

Hidden gem in Cheltenham city centre. It's not a big restaurant but it provides enough space for each table. The service is amazing, and the food is just fabulous. The ingredients are fresh and put together in a surprice but delicous way. We really enjoyed it.

A friendly, relaxed dining experience. Detailed information of the ingredients and dishes given on the tabletop tablet was a lovely touch.

We havent had a bad meal hear but if anything this was better than anything we have had before. Sublime canapes with the lobster, pea and jalapeno tart being a highlight. The green strawberries on the perfectly cooked scallop were an awesome touch. The star of the meal was the duck perfectly balanced with a crispy bonbon of shoulder and the smoothest of liver pates encased in crisp white chocolate. Genius. Friendly and relaxed service as ever and really reasonable price for the quality especially as we had an excellent sub £50 bottle of wine. Loving the progress with the homegrown produce from the garden which sets Lumiere apart from the rest. Easily as good as some of the best resturants around.

Another excellent meal at Lumiere. The front of house were attentive but not over bearing. Each course was explained to us and we enjoy every item that was cooked. We will undoubtedly return in the near future.
