Cheltenham’s newest MICHELIN Star - Lumiere is an elegant, ingredient-led, innovative, fine dining experience in the heart of Cheltenham. Lead by husband and wife team, Somerset born Chef Jon and general manager Helen, the restaurant has a focus on the best British produce sourced from a network of dedicated farmers, fishermen, producers & our own family run farm.
Since opening in January 2009, Lumiere has received numerous local and national awards including a MICHELIN Star, AA Restaurant of the Year for England, 3AA Rosettes and is regularly listed amongst the Top 20 Restaurants in the UK by Hardens and Tripadvisor. Jon was also shortlisted for Restauranteur of the Year by The Caterer for all of his efforts during the pandemic.

Another excellent meal at Lumiere. The front of house were attentive but not over bearing. Each course was explained to us and we enjoy every item that was cooked. We will undoubtedly return in the near future.

The staff were very welcoming and the food delicious. We did the four courses and were shocked that the canapés constituted as one of the four courses, these are usually a ‘warm up’ before the courses. The lobster canapé was lovely

The food and the staff were first class - high quality and value for money. We would absolutly go back again - never had anything ither than excellence there.

Truly excellent food. We had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Every morsel was delicious. The service is warm and friendly and not at all intrusive. We only go here for very special occasions as a real treat because it has become almost prohibitively expensive.

We had a wonderful evening at Lumiere to celebrate my partner's birthday. The food and service were both excellent as always. The only slight change we would suggest is to add another fish course to the pescatarian menu, other than that it was a perfect evening.
