Cheltenham’s newest MICHELIN Star - Lumiere is an elegant, ingredient-led, innovative, fine dining experience in the heart of Cheltenham. Lead by husband and wife team, Somerset born Chef Jon and general manager Helen, the restaurant has a focus on the best British produce sourced from a network of dedicated farmers, fishermen, producers & our own family run farm.
Since opening in January 2009, Lumiere has received numerous local and national awards including a MICHELIN Star, AA Restaurant of the Year for England, 3AA Rosettes and is regularly listed amongst the Top 20 Restaurants in the UK by Hardens and Tripadvisor. Jon was also shortlisted for Restauranteur of the Year by The Caterer for all of his efforts during the pandemic.

Absolutely perfect place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Attentive, professional and friendly staff. Incredible food and drink pairings. We had the Eight course tasting menu and we couldn’t fault anything. Word of warning, although delicious, the mac and cheese canapé is served hot, the filling was so hot it burnt my tongue, but I didn’t let it ruin our evening. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous, punchy flavours and excellent use of seasonal ingredients, all beautifully presented by attentive yet unobtrusive staff. Highly recommended.

Wonderful birthday lunch for my husband. We chose the six course taster menu. I’m coeliac and was very well looked after. The bread was exceptional. We think this was one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. Everything was perfect. The attention to detail shone through and we so appreciated all the effort. The staff were brilliant and took time to chat, they were friendly but not intrusive. It was interesting to understand from Helen about the sourcing of produce, the poly tunnel and her family involvement. We couldn’t pick one dish out as the show stopper. Just impossible as they all were a visual and taste sensation. Can’t wait to return!

What an amazing dining experience! Very special - every course so interesting and delicious. Some of the best things we've tasted. My husband loves duck and venison and while I eat it often, I don't typically love it as much as I did during this meal. And all of the servers were so kind and welcoming which really does make a difference to interact with joyful people. I wanted to hug Alice. : )

Beautifully presented delicious food of exceptional quality. Superb service - you're made to feel welcome from your arrival & the front of house staff always know what food the dishes contain. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Uneven tasting menu restaurant. The duck prepared 3 ways was spectacular. But some dishes were lackluster. Pleasant ambience and service.
