Set a pebble's skim from the iconic Lulworth Cove, our all-day ground floor bistro serves contemporary food sourced from the local ingredients.

For lunch service we offer our seasonal ‘a la carte’ menu and a nibbles / sandwich menu, so please drop by for a crab sandwich or cream tea on the terrace. Dogs are welcome on the terrace as well as in the restaurant.

We are sorry to say we are unable to take reservations for the outside seating area, however you can always just walk in !

Food was good, maybe a bit expensive but understandable given the location. The service has been a bit awkward, we booked the table and arrived 15 minutes early because it was pouring down. The gentleman at the door didn’t seem particularly happy about it and let us wait 2 min before seating us despite half empty restaurant and not much going on. 2 minutes later came back to take the order for food and drinks. We felt a bit rushed to be honest. Overall good seafood and nice presented plates

Quality of food was great. Portion sizes were adequate if you order a 3 course menu however if you just order mains you may leave feeling hungry. I ordered sea bream, only gor 1 fillet were as a whole fish would have been more fitting. The pasta linguini was tasty and the squid was very fresh.

First time. And will be booking again next week. Amazing crab sandwich, truly stunning view from the outside decking

We combined our meal with a prior visit to Lulworth Castle and Cove. First shocker was the car park charge - £10 for 4 hours or £20 for All Day as the only options. Despite the hefty fee, the place was absolutely mobbed with people and, as well as struggling for a parking space, we were elbowing our way through a large crowd on the road down to the Cove. Lulworth Lodge is a pleasant-looking building with a nicely decorated interior and outside decked area. However, the restaurant also services the accommodation part of the business and the restaurant staff also look after routine hotel business like check-ins. Having arrived for our 6pm booking we were kept waiting in the bar with 3 other groups of restaurant customers for about 20 minutes before we got a drink. The manager of the restaurant team was awesome, but the other staff seemed very inexperienced and, for the number of people dining, way too few in number. Throughout the time we were seated there was a constant stream of would-be customers without bookings being turned away which disrupted our meal. When our food did arrive, the quality was top notch, but the quantity was decidely low with below-size portions. My main course fish was more like a starter than a main and the apple cake dessert, whilst really tasty, was more like a Dundee cake with hardly any apple in it. Because we’d driven we stuck with soft drinks throughout. After a pretty slow dining experience and some really awkward/slightly surreal verbal interactions with the table staff we got the bill. This was a massive shock and I was glad to be sat down. I could, quite simply, not believe the price. The night before we’d had a full-on 3-course dinner with huge portions including a full lobster, cocktails, a bottle of wine and absolutely outstanding service for only £30 more in one of Swanage’s best restaurants. We left Lulworth recognising it for what it is in Peak Season - an over-priced and over-crowded tourist trap.

Lovely meal in a great setting we were able to dine outside and had a sea view. What a treat having homemade desserts, good service and welcoming feel despite the staff likely having their hottest busiest day of the year

Delicious scallops, sea bass, burgers and soft drinks. Attentive, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere with numerous groups of families and friends. Relaxed setting and ideal location close to Lulworth Cove. One of our favourite places for lunch on the Jurassic Coast at any time of year.
