Conceived with legendary chef and food activist Alice Waters and led by acclaimed chef, writer, and cookbook author David Tanis, Lulu is a shared celebration of good food that is good for the planet. Lulu is a restaurant committed to prioritizing sustainability through local, regenerative food and design. Our mission focuses on procuring food directly from small, nearby farms practicing regenerative organic agriculture, which results in wholesome, delicious food grown using methods that combat the climate crisis.

Our restaurant is named after a wise Provencal cook, Lulu Peyraud, whose cooking and hospitality at Domaine Tempier in Bandol, France has always inspired David and Alice.

Join us for a plant-based menu by award winning chefs and activists Bryant Terry and Alice Waters. After dinner, meet them for a conversation about climate activism with Maggie Baird of Support+Feed, in the Billy Wilder Theater at 7:30 pm (reserve your table before 6pm to attend). LULU reservations are separate from the theater, you must pick up your ticket at the box office which opens at 6:30pm (first come, first served). Food presentation was lack luster, flavor was ok at best, nothing really stood out as outstanding. Portions were good sized but would definitely recommend ordering a la carte and small bites for the best value.

Not what I expected from this level of chefs. Food was bland, small portions and not worth the price. Would not recommend. Ambience and setting were attractive.

Always a delight! Food was outstanding, service is terrific, the manager, Jesse, is amazing and all in all it is one of the bet restaurants in LA.

Amazing service, and one of my favorite places given the setting. Such a special gem in the city. Prices are sky high though and the only deterrent for us coming more often.

Both the pasta and fish are excellent. How do they keep the fruit flies away from the diners? There were no flies visible at our table at all throughout our meal. The standalone tables are too narrow, and they don't have to be so, considering the large space between diners. It's a spacious restaurant, so let's enjoy a wider table please, at least for the standalone tables.

Enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Lulu. The food was excellent as was the attentive service. We look forward to our next visit.

The 18% service fee plus tax, seemed to add like a $100 to the bill. I suggest they just pay their employees a higher wage and let the guest tip appropriately.

Lovely setting, sophisticated dining experience. The menu leans toward fresh vegetables and seafood, salads, cheeses, etc., with I believe only one meat dish, but every item our party of three ordered was beautifully prepared. We had several small plates and a couple of mains, which were surprisingly large. (I'm looking at you, linguine with mushrooms!) Service is pleasant, very professional and unobtrusive. It ain't cheap, but it's reasonably priced given the quality. Martinis were excellent, as was the stone-fruit crumble, although it lacked peaches.
