Conceived with legendary chef and food activist Alice Waters and led by acclaimed chef, writer, and cookbook author David Tanis, Lulu is a shared celebration of good food that is good for the planet. Lulu is a restaurant committed to prioritizing sustainability through local, regenerative food and design. Our mission focuses on procuring food directly from small, nearby farms practicing regenerative organic agriculture, which results in wholesome, delicious food grown using methods that combat the climate crisis.

Our restaurant is named after a wise Provencal cook, Lulu Peyraud, whose cooking and hospitality at Domaine Tempier in Bandol, France has always inspired David and Alice.

Join us for a one-night-only plant-based menu by award winning chefs and activists Bryant Terry and Alice Waters. After dinner, meet them for a conversation about climate activism with founder of Support+Feed, Maggie Baird, in the Billy Wilder Theater. Please reserve your table before 6:15pm, in order to attend the discussion at 7:30pm; admission is assigned on a first come, first served basis. MENU PREVIEW Black-Eyed Pea Fritter ruby streaks mustard greens paste, pikliz Shaved Baby Squash parsley pesto, red walnuts Royal Corona Beans in Tomato Sauce with Heirloom Cornbread olive oil, black pepper, fleur de sel, Watermelon Slice basil, sea salt Cheesecake blueberries + blackberries *Menu may change based on farm availability.

The 18% service fee plus tax, seemed to add like a $100 to the bill. I suggest they just pay their employees a higher wage and let the guest tip appropriately.

Lovely setting, sophisticated dining experience. The menu leans toward fresh vegetables and seafood, salads, cheeses, etc., with I believe only one meat dish, but every item our party of three ordered was beautifully prepared. We had several small plates and a couple of mains, which were surprisingly large. (I'm looking at you, linguine with mushrooms!) Service is pleasant, very professional and unobtrusive. It ain't cheap, but it's reasonably priced given the quality. Martinis were excellent, as was the stone-fruit crumble, although it lacked peaches.

The most excellent food served in LA! It was a treat getting to meet the great Alice Waters, too. I would recommend anything on the menu. The salads are awesome, and so are the desserts. The server, Nathan, was also amazing. Thank you!

Nice outdoor seating and quieter than the indoor. The good: Service, cocktails, appetizers and salad. Not so good: the swordfish entree, plate was a bit of a mess and lukewarm at best.

Entertained some friends from San Francisco for lunch. Everything was excellent and they enjoyed our lunch at Lulu. Our friends introduced us to Chez Panisse so it was fitting to introduce them to Lulu!
