Formerly known as Locale Ristorante, the new owners have decided to change the name to Lucio's.
In the heart of the charming and diverse suburban town of Closter, New Jersey, there lies a culinary gem named Lucio's. This eatery is more than just a restaurant; it celebrates Italian tradition, love, and gastronomic excellence.

The owner is so accommodating. He made sure we were sitting at a table that made us comfortable. The servers knew everything on the menu and all the specials. They were very attentive. The food was delicious! This is a wonderful place to bring family and friends. Lucios is one of my favorite restaurants. Gloria

went for nye food was very good , but service was lacking . took a long time for bread and drinks to start. it was pre fixed and food was very good!

NYE is a tough night and the restaurant was slammed. The food was excellent and the staff had all they could handle. Overall they did an incredible job for such a tough evening.

this was my second time visiting Lucio’s. I am pleased to say my experience was just as nice. My husband and I were greeted and seated immediately. water and bread were immediately brought to the table. Our waiter Carlos, took our drink order and informed us of the specials . in no time, our drinks were served, and Carlos took our order. the dining room is very warm with soft, white walls with black accents, and white linens, white China, and sparkling crystal. my husband and I both opted for soup as an appetizer. I had lobster bisque which was prepared exactly the way it should be. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his French onion soup. for my entrée, I had a special, Pesto risotto with rock shrimp. It was heavenly, creamy and al dente, with the Perfect balance of basil, garlic. Olive oil, etc. my husband chose chicken franchese. It was lightly battered in a lemon butter sauce with fresh vegetables, also thoroughly enjoyed.. For dessert, we split Keylime pie, which we had on a previous occasion . outstanding. this restaurant will definitely be one of my top picks for 2025 , delicious food, very warm and accommodatimg staff, inviting ambience ... We had an incredible experience celebrating New Year’s Eve at Lucio’s! Despite being very busy, everything was handled smoothly. The festive decorations created a vibrant and elegant atmosphere, and the staff was impressively attentive throughout the evening. The prix fixe menu with an open bar was an excellent deal, offering a variety of delicious options that exceeded our expectations like the escargot, shrimp avocado salad and the lamb shank was unbelievable. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. My avacado salad was so The DJ kept the energy high, and the overall ambiance made the night truly special. This restaurant has officially become our family’s new favorite spot, and we can’t wait to return for more memorable evenings. Highly recommended!

We have eaten here numerous times and do enjoy the food and it’s close to us. I had done a review during g the summer so don’t want to repeat my praise’s as I do really enjoy this restaurant but I am still disappointed in the quality of the bread and dipping sauces that are offered are way to salty! If you’re going to advertise as quality Italian style restaurant the first thing we see and taste is the bread ! Your amazing food offerings need to be acompanied by good , crunchy, delicious pane !!some quality dipping oils would be great too!!
