Located at the ME London on The Strand in the heart of London’s West End ( Aldwych Side ) yards away from Somerset House, Luciano by Gino D’Acampo will provide guests with luxury all day, every day dining, serving lunch, dinner & drinks, until late.


The menu, designed by Gino and his team of talented development chefs, alongside acclaimed Executive Head Chef Calogero Carlino, will be fitting for it’s location. Incorporating Italian classic dishes with a focus on quality and ingredient provenance. An authentic Italian service will complement the menu, adding to the premium and yet informal dining experience, with a large, open-theatre style kitchen taking centre stage.

    We went to Ginos for the Roast dinner experience, and honestly I think if you’re going to an Italian restaurant stick to the Italian food. The Roast dinner looked like it was one of those microwave meals you can get at your local supermarket unfortunately. We had starters which were absolutely lovely but they were Italian dishes. I wouldn’t order the Roast again, it’s seems like a roast might be more of a British dish so I think stick to the Italian food when ordering in future. We loved the added extra of getting a plate wishing us a happy anniversary that was really lovely and the desserts were lovely too. Maybe get your mate Gordon Ramsey to come in and check out your roasts and offer some advice xxx

    Very disappointing for a special occasion. Slow, inattentive, unwelcoming but good food. Service: Numerous occasions we struggled to get staff attention, despite the restaurant being very empty. Staff caught chatting amongst themselves. Waited 15 min for water then 20 min for wine, drinks arrived after starters which were ordered 10 min after the wine. Consistently had to ask for service; more drinks or even to order main courses. Thought the meal we couldn’t believe the constant lack of attention which only became more noticeable with 3 members of staff chatting in the corner next to our table overlooking the tills with their backs to us. Food: Was lovely and tasted brilliant Follow up: Not once asked if the food was ok or if we were happy with our meal or if we needed anything else. Understaffed: When ordering deserts we were told that the kitchen was understaffed, I quote, “we only have one chef in the kitchen and they can’t do profiteroles as they take too much time”. I cannot understand how this is an excuse in a restaurant business. After deserts were cleared again we waited for a lengthly time before eventually I got someone’s attention in order to order a coffee and a tea. The only quick thing they bought was the bill. With no concern about our meal or our experience. We would have had better service in a Pizza Express.

    We hebben te lang moeten wachten op ons eten bediening was oké naar niet uitnodigend. Voor de prijs voor een pasta kan je op betere plaatsen eten.

    Great service and overall a good ambiance in the restaurant. The staff are attentive but not pushy. The food was underwhelming. Not horrible but everything had a feeling of being processed and not freshly made.

    It was OK but not the experience expected. On arrival the first thing said was ‘you only have 1.5 hours at your table.’ Made me feel like a ‘ get them in and out’ experience not fine dining. Decor and food was good but pricey for the food. I have had better food and service at other good Italian restaurants in London for less money. Shame as we were looking forward to this but left disappointed.

    Disappointing. Everything was mediocre except the pizza which was super great. We had to wait for almost half an our for the starters and then more than an hour for the mains. No wonder the place was empty except for 2 or 3 tables. My advice to Gino: close the restaurant and open a pizzeria instead. Sorry! my wife and I were very disappointed.

    The food was excellent, but the overall experience was a bit underwhelming. While the wait staff were friendly, they lacked attentiveness, and we found ourselves needing to call them over multiple times. Unfortunately, when it came time to settle the bill, we had to search for someone to assist us, as no staff were readily available. We were there to celebrate a birthday, which was mentioned both in the booking and upon our arrival. Disappointingly, there was no acknowledgement during our meal, which left us feeling overlooked, especially since many other restaurants make a small gesture to mark such occasions. While I'd return for the quality of the food, I wouldn't recommend it for a special celebration, as the service didn’t meet the level of care you’d hope for on such an occasion.
