Located at the ME London on The Strand in the heart of London’s West End ( Aldwych Side ) yards away from Somerset House, Luciano by Gino D’Acampo will provide guests with luxury all day, every day dining, serving lunch, dinner & drinks, until late.

The menu, designed by Gino and his team of talented development chefs, alongside acclaimed Executive Head Chef Calogero Carlino, will be fitting for it’s location. Incorporating Italian classic dishes with a focus on quality and ingredient provenance. An authentic Italian service will complement the menu, adding to the premium and yet informal dining experience, with a large, open-theatre style kitchen taking centre stage.

Service was slow despite it not being particularly busy. My partners start was good however my arancini was not cooked through and the cheese was cold. My partners salmon was good however the vegetables were greasy and over cooked. I had ravioli but it was too salty. Overall not an experience I would want to repeat.

Overall the food and service was excellent - but just a few niggles. 1. Although we had a booking only 1 person directing us to our table …..we were therefore kept waiting for 10minutes. 2. At 1pm your cloakroom was full … although the restaurant was not - confusing. 3. Although nice crisp tablecloths… the accompanying napkins were disposable… I’m sure this is a cost saving but disappointing from a customer perspective. 4. Mens Bathrooms out of order … directing to a unisex facility with no means of drying your hands. Needs to be checked on a more regular basis.

Unfortunately, I’ve found there’s extremely poor communication between members of staff and lack of care regarding the simplest of things like ordering my vegan meal and paying for it. I received the wrong ingredients even when shown a photo of my dish of choice from a previous dining experience, at Gino D’Acampo Leeds I really couldn’t make it any simpler! I personally went and showed the chef the photo of the dish I would like prepared it’s embarrassing to say the least. The bill did not reflect the poor dining experience I received.

Service was slow. Starter was lovely. Shared antipasti alla luciano. Mains arrived not as hot as they should. Risotto had skin on so think they had been left on hot plate. Salmon over cooked. Had to ask for serving spoons for side dishes Pollo ripieno was ok until guest had eaten 1/3rd through and discovered the chicken was raw on the underside. Manager quickly took it away from our table. We were offered free drinks but just asked for bill. Drinks were taken off our bill as a goodwill gesture & chicken dish. But side dishes were still on bill. None of us enjoyed our main meals. Poor standard. We had all only eaten half our meals. Settled bill but really feel we should have only paid for our starter. What type of chef dishes up Raw chicken ? Chose restaurant for a Birthday treat … so disappointed. Expensive meal for such poorly cooked food. Poor service too.

The food in Luciano was fabulous but the service wasn't too good we were 30 minutes waiting to order the food.. The front desk was chaos people's coats were lying on the floor . No identifiable head waiter waitress.. A little disappointed as I was really looking forward to going

Great food - both choice and quality. Waiter was excellent and gave good service. The door greet was shambolic frankly - long queue inc ‘walkins’ whereas we had a booking - then no one seemed to know who was taking coats and checking you in. All this was made up for by the food and service and lively ambience. Everything we had was great. Recommend the trio of deserts - a great option and value. On leaving the front desk was still shambolic and took an age to find our four coats …. Hey ho - need for improvement but the keys things are bang on !

Very impressive decorative restaurant. Service was very slow and unfriendly. What I chose to eat was beef in red vine sauce. It basically was a beef stew with carrots served with ciabatta. I wouldn’t have it again. Perhaps I was just unlucky with this visit, as, I’d been told how great it was. It was nice but 🤔
