Located at the ME London on The Strand in the heart of London’s West End ( Aldwych Side ) yards away from Somerset House, Luciano by Gino D’Acampo will provide guests with luxury all day, every day dining, serving lunch, dinner & drinks, until late.

The menu, designed by Gino and his team of talented development chefs, alongside acclaimed Executive Head Chef Calogero Carlino, will be fitting for it’s location. Visited for a birthday lunch before the Theatre. Staff were very friendly although heard a manager having a go at a member of staff. If they need to be told off do it out of earshot of customers. The food was nice, nothing exceptional in our view that we had anticipated. The service was a little sluggish too. Overall, it was ok and reasonably London priced pre-theatre lunch.

Perfect choice for a catch up with relatives. Comfortable table , beautiful restaurant , good service . Great selection for the gluten free diner . Gluten free Tempura was divine . Everyone left happy and well fed.

Not impressed with the inflated prices compared with other similar Italian restaurants The state of the ladies toilets were poor. Soap dispensers not working, toilet papers on floor & one toilet didn’t have toilet paper. The waiters did not come across as being helpful or friendly I wouldn’t return or recommend it. Sorry!

We were very excited to visit - we are big Gino fans and we had a great show to go to mid afternoon after lunch. Lovely space and light in the restaurant, but after that it all went downhill. There was no sense at all of anyone giving any sort of attention to us and our lunch. Long minutes passed before anyone came anywhere near us to offer water. Thereafter throughout the meal nothing whatsoever happened unless we hailed someone (often after many attempts). Trying to pay was a very long process - the restaurant must learn that when you ask for the bill, you are keen to leave - bringing the bill and then vacating the floor doesn’t cut it. Personally I would have had a dessert but I couldn’t convince my companions - no one was confident that it might arrive (or even that we could order it) in time. But the bigger issue is the food. The starters (effectively tomatoes and bread) were great and left us feeling optimistic. We had discussed whether to have pasta or not for our main course and my wife was sure that it would be so wonderful that we would. I must say that I cook pasta a lot and I could beat what we were served without even trying. My wife’s ravioli was overwhelmed by a bland sauce. Our daughter’s carbonara was peculiarly tasteless. My fettuccine bolognese was totally bizarre. A weird sweet taste swamped the balls and fragments of beef. I haven’t tasted anything as odd since we learned to cook in the early hours, back in our student days. To charge these prices for poor pasta served by untrained staff is taking the mickey. Shame.

My husband and I had pasta dishes. The food was very good, and decent portions. Service was great. Venue very nice. Good value for money considering the lpacation.

Great ambience with good selection of delicious food. Gianni did a fabulous job looking after us. Fantastic position for theatre and would thoroughly recommend. Suitable for children and adults alike.

We have eaten here many times and for a Celiac there is a lot of gluten free choices! Helpful friendly staff & lovely setting! We look forward to returning when we visit London!
