Located in a historical home in the resort town of Dana Point, California, Luciana's Ristorante has been serving the Orange County community for over 40 years. The decor is reminiscent of a cozy European-style inn, establishing it as one of Orange County's most romantic restaurants. Awarded the Southern California Restaurant Writers gold medal since 1996, three stars from the California Restaurant Writers, Zagat's Survey "America’s 1,000 Top Italian Restaurants 2008" and an Award of Excellence for its wine list, Luciana's has been setting the standard for classic as well as innovative Italian cuisine. We sat outside on the patio, weather somewhat cold even with heaters on. Food was fine but we have had better meals here in the past. Wine was very good. Have had better service in the past. Overall, ok but lacking something. ???

We have been here many times and have always enjoyed a great meal. The service is always very good and the food is always served hot. We have tried many different dishes and everything is always yummy. The linguine vongole and the fettuccine gamberoni are both very good. Nice dessert menu, always nice to have a treat after a meal!

Grateful to report that every meal at Luciana’s is a joy! The wine list is exceptional. The seafood dishes are well prepared, with sauces that enhance the natural flavors but don’t overwhelm them. The service is terrific and personable, and of course, the ambiance is delightful. What a treasure!

Everything about Luciana’s was wonderful! The Eggplant Parmesan was the best I’ve ever tasted at any restaurant in California or Chicago

Have been wanting to try this place for a while and did for my birthday. Place was busy and if it's stayed in business for 40 years has to be good right? The vibes from outside are cool, patios nice and I like the old school feel inside. Unfortunately service and food wasn't great...brought a nice bottle of wine and it took 15 minutes for the waiter to come back and cork it. Service was slow.. bread service meh, apps were ok, not great. Entrees terrible...my wife got the mahi mahi special and it was torched so over done she barely ate it. I asked the waiter for their best dish and he steered me towards the Oso Bucco, so there's where I went and asked to mod out fettuccini noddle's. Dish came and the meat was not tinder and I got the thinnest noodles in the building. Worst I've ever had... Appreciate the gesture to bring out a desert, but would have been nice for my family to see a menu before hand. Passed on the scoop of pineapple ice cream. Kind of random... Wouldn't be back. Some times you hit a home run trying new places. Sometimes to strike out.
