Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

Communication not good payment not taken from the account id asked it to be taken from previous before meal Iv tried twice to call the restaurant no joy and the phone just rang off

Struggled to find parking so called up to say we would be late which was fine. Were told we had our table for the remainder of the 2 hour slot which was also acceptable upon arrival. Very slow and innatentive service for a quality restaurant: Waited for ages for our orders to be taken, food wasn't delayed. We were asked if everything was OK shortly after getting our food which was expected and fine but that was the only time. So We didn't order more drinks as we barely got a glimpse of anyone or managed to catch anyone's eye. The new waiter was cleaning tables and said he'd be a minute which was much longer. We only wanted the dessert menu at that point. We decided not to order dessert and waited ages for the bill. He brought us someone else's. That was corrected. The waiters were nice and did apologise for the delays. I Left the 10% tip as it is Christmas. We were out for my daughter's birthday and it didn't feel like a special occasion. The group behind us were overly loud but that was fair enough. This was our experience but I'm sure it isn't the norm.

Would have preferred to sit in the main restaurant rather than the cafe to improve the ambiance Good service, good food quality. Would definitely recommend

We can always rely on Lucia’s for excellent service and lovely food at reasonable prices. We asked to be seared outside even though it was quite cold. I was cosy with the blanket provided and sitting under one of the outdoor heaters. The ambience was quiet and festive, and the decor both inside and out was stunning. We definitely recommend a visit - you’ll get hooked too!!
