Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

Join us at Lucia on the first Sunday of every month with our new Italian cookery masterclass 11:30am - 4pm Hosted by our expert chefs you will enjoy the following Welcome Mimosas, Pastries and Coffee Chef led demonstrations and Fresh Pasta making All ingredients to make your own fresh pasta Two Course lunch Take home your homemade products with a recipe card and cooking instructions Tickets £100 Per Person and a maximum of 10 tickets are available per masterclass. The duration of this experience is 3.5 hours including the Masterclass and lunch.

I booked this restaurant for my wife’s birthday. When booked the staff were made aware it was for a birthday. As there were two young children the latest we could arrive was 4.45pm which was fine for us They even gave her a ‘Birthday Card’ on arrival so we’re aware Although it wasn’t really busy service was slightly slow but overall good. My elderly mother( 90) came with us and is not a big eater so we asked if she could select from the Childrens menu as portions are much much smaller and we were told in no uncertain terms that ‘NO’ she couldn’t as the menu was only for children and not for adults. My son brought along a Birthday Cake for my wife and we asked if we could have a knife to cut the cake and were told that we couldn’t use one and if we wanted to have them present the Cake for us there would be a charge of £5 per person to do it and that we should have been informed of this at the time of booking, which we were not. This would have meant another £35 on top of the bill so we decided to do it at home. This badly spoilt the meal and the night for my wife as we were celebrating her birthday The food was very nice and everything arrived at the same time, however when it came to asking for coffee’s at the end, it took approx 15/20 minutes for them to come after ordering and we had got to the point where we were going to cancel them. Overall it was a nice evening but could have been much better which is why I have only given 3 Stars

We had a very nice meal, very tasty and good value. The service was quite quick and the staff very pleasant and attentive.

I had a lovely meal from the lunchtime set 2 course menu, the food was excellent with good portion sizes. We shared a bottle of wine with the meal. The wine was lovely but a tad pricey. £31.00 for the cheapest bottle of Pinot Grigio. 2 x lunchtime set menu's cost £20.00 per person, the wine cost nearly as much as the food! I think the drink prices could be lowered.
