   Ambiance is nice. Patio has a great view of the Washington Monument. Food was fine. 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill — and the service reflects that. Our waitress was inattentive, acted as if taking our order, clearing the table and checking up on us was an inconvenience. We were left alone for so long between our first round of drinks and apps that a member of our party had to hunt the waitress down.

   I have been to many restaurants in my lifetime. Lucha Rosa rates among the top five worst. The web description was a fraud offering open spaces in a rooftop setting. The room was cramped and unkempt. After several email reminders asking for confirmation, we arrived exactly on time and given a side area unfit for dining. When we asked for an actual table, we were told those were reserved for parties larger than our four. After bitterly complaining, a table was literally thrown together. After that it was downhill with slow uncourteous service. and food that was barely eatable in an environment that was not suitable for dining. What was supposed to be a Valentine Day celebration turned out to be a Bonafide disaster.

   My partner and I went on a date here. Drinks were delicious, especially their signature spicy margarita with black salt on the rim. We got 2 rounds of that. For food, we had 2 rounds of CARNE ASADA QUESO FRESCO PINCHOS and they were delicious.

   I saw this place on TikTok and I decided to make it my first stop when I traveled to D.C for the first time to celebrate a Birthday. I made reservations and getting seated was seamless (Thank you). We sat down noticed how beautiful the ambience was. Upon looking at the menu out of nowhere a man comes to our table and says the kitchen is closed! After driving 6 hours I had to inquire so I told that same person that we made reservations to celebrate my boyfriend’s 45th Birthday and we weren’t expecting not to eat. He stated that last night was kind of a weird night but he spoke to his manager and we were able to order food and drinks. Hence why I gave this establishment a fair rating versus a poor rating. Nonetheless I’m sure this is a fine restaurant and I wish you all the best.

   Overall good experience. Food, drinks and service were very good. It’s a very nice restaurant. My only complaint is that the music is way too loud. We could not hear anyone at our table. If they hadn’t been able to relocate us to the outside area, we would have left.

   Music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other next to each other without screaming. No employee acknowledged us for almost 10 minutes until I came up to the bar. Would not return

   Service was awful, waited over 10 minutes at the host stand to get seated. When someone showed up they said we had to wait 45 minutes for a table outdoors (per our reservation). When we finally got seated it was indoors, waited another 15 mins for anyone to come take our order. Two of the servers seemed annoyed and kept giving us attitude. The DJ was great but the music was WAY too loud. The queso dip was great but the rest of the food was average - not worth the price. Overall, not a great experience.

   The music was super loud. The table was also coming apart (the under part was hanging down onto our laps). The light at our table was out, so it was pretty dark. Our drinks were incorrect and/or late/forgotfen. The octopus ceviche was really good!

    The service staff are subpar at best. A friend and I went 2 days in a week and each time the service staff didn't address us for over 20 minutes after we were seated and there were very little patrons at that time. They also did not pay attention to what we ordered and what they served us several times (i.e. asked for spicy margarita - received non-spicy margarita). They weren't very professional or attentive, we had to wave them down every time we wanted to order (they were always gathered talking in a corner). Love the food, drinks and ambiance please just hire professional wait staff.
