At Lower Mills Tavern, we strive to make this place feel like home to all – Whether that be during game day, date night, or a quick drink after work. We are a Dorchester-local tavern with a strong passion for community and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We offer live music 3 nights per week as well as $1 oysters, wood-fired pizzas, Salads, Seafood, Steaks and much more.

Our delicious seasonal menus are sure to have menu items specially catered towards any dietary need (ex: gluten-free, vegan, etc.). Voted Best Neighborhood Restaurant in Boston (Dorchester; Boston Magazine)

The Tavern is exactly what we thought it would be, great The service was very nice. Our waitress was very helpful with the menu & directions & suggestions of where we needed to go. The food was very good & filling. We highly recommend MLT

Food and service were both amazing. The LMT scramble is enough for 2 people to share. The Dutch baby apple pancake was perfect — not too sweet.

Great local restaurant, nice friendly staff. However I was a little embarrassed with rodents making appearances frequently. Especially since I picked this restaurant as first date.

We dine at Lower Mills Tavern regularly on Monday’s for their Oyster night which we love! We always reserve the same table and the staff always make sure we get our favorite table. The service is always great, friendly, courteous prompt and attentive.

Went for breakfast to celebrate an 80th birthday. It was a wasted celebration. I was not happy do with food, which was subpar, and did not think it was worth the price paid. We had the cinnamon pancakes that had a very flavorful sauce, but were rubbery, versus cake like. The home fries taste like they are frozen potatoes from the freezer section in the grocery store, instead of made from scratch. Some of the red peppers in my home fries were not fresh, on the soggy side. Lastly, the slices of bacon were burnt in some sections, but undercooked in other sections, and were not eaten. The ambiance was nice, and the service was great, however, I gave them a rating of 1-2. Now, I have to redo the birthday celebration.

I got the LMT burger which was cooked perfectly to medium! The fries were delicious and so was the chocolate lava cake! LMT doesn’t disappoint.

We always request the same table and the staff always makes sure to have it ready when we arrive. The service is always prompt and courteous. We especially enjoy Monday’s for Oysters.
