We had a 12:45 reservation but had to wait 25 minutes to be seated because the host moved us to a waitlist to wait for an outside seat. He told us we would be contacted when a table freed up despite multiple tables being empty. These were not reserved tables, as another couple (walk-in) were seated immediately at their table of choice when asking to be seated outside without a reservation! When I spoke to the host to ask why we hadn't been seated yet, he had completely forgotten about us and told us we could be seated then. Terrible service from a Fairmont restaurant. The $120 seafood platter "for two" does NOT have enough food for two adults. Service was slow and it was impossible to flag down our server. We left dissatisfied and hungry, and the general attitude and complacency of the staff outdoors was disappointing. Any other Fairmont restaurant is worth it, but this location was sub-par across the board.

We had a very nice dinner here in May. The paella for two was excellent, and the daily fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had the churros for dessert. Wonderful!!!!

My wife raved about her clams and mussels, and my beef bourguignon was excellent. Blueberry puffed pastry was delightful. Nice wine list.

Wonderful table and view; first class service, unbelievable poor quality food. Server handled it very well but st very high price points much more expected from first class hotel.

We stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs and decided to try dinner at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to see if we wanted to stay there next time we come to town. The meal started out well with a semi-speedy welcome and drink order taken by our waiter. It took awhile to get back for our order, but that did not seem to take that long. We were enjoying the view, and our conversation. My husband ordered an entree and discussed it with our waiter at length. He, also, ordered a soup. I ordered a salad and mussels/clams. The waiter forgot to put in my husband’s soup. This caused a delay on our first course. Then, we waited for well over an hour for the second course. My mussels were brought by a manager. It was a tiny portion compared to several tables nearby that ordered the same thing. We kept trying to grab our waiter to check on my husband’s order. After 20 minutes, we found him. He had no recollection of my husband’s order and did not turn it in. We are, now, two hours into what should have been an hour meal with no food for my husband. It took another 30 minutes to locate the manager and try to rectify what happened. They wound up comping our meal and validating our parking. It was a disappointing situation. I would not return without advance knowledge there was a big change in procedures. For a crowded high-end resort, the service and staff were not up to the task.
