Loudons Café & Bakery serves Scottish and continental delicacies from its location at 94B Fountainbridge. Burgers, quiche, soup and pancakes, as well as a vast selection of cakes feature on a menu where most items are made on site and ingredients are locally sourced. The large centrally located cafe is child-friendly and has outdoor seating and free wi-fi and house an in-house bakery downstairs. Loudon's is about ten minutes’ walk away from Haymarket Railway Station, and a sixteen minute walk from the historic Edinburgh Castle.

                                                                Good service, coffee and food for two of the three main dishes. The Egg Benny muffin was barely tepid. Eggs cooked well but plate cold and brought temperature down significantly- not normal here I have to say.

                                                                We booked this place after online reviews recommending it, and it did not disappoint! The food was impeccable and everyone working there was super lovely and friendly. It was my mums birthday and they kindly informed her that she would get to choose a cake off the menu for free, so she chose the chilli cheese scone. She did this as a takeaway (as she was so stuffed from breakfast) and enjoyed it this evening when we got back to Bristol- she said it was delicious! Thank you again. Definitely a must visit next time we are back in Edinburgh so that we can sample the rest of the menu!
