In Provence, a region in southeastern France, “Lou Pécou” is the term for the peduncle, or stalk, that holds a cluster of fruit. Our grandparents taught us that when in the kitchen, you must start with the freshest and finest of ingredients. They had a unique way of feeling and picking lou pécou, to know if the fruit and vegetable is local, ripe, and fresh. We look forward to passing you these traditions and learnings through our pizzas.

It was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic! A hidden gem in the heart of Halifax!

Pizza? More like HEAVEN!!! Listen, I'm a pizza BRAT, I LOVE it and I've had it everywhere. THIS. PIZZA. IS. LEGIT!!!! Our server, Chloe, was delightful, recommended the perfect wine, and catered to our every need. She was🔥 We had hoped for lemon tart for dessert but they were out, so we settled for the buckwheat double chocolate chip cookies AND HOLY CRUD WERE THEY EVER DELICIOUS!!! Get one each, do not share, they are too good!! We ordered 3 pizzas and took 2 slices of each home. We just had the leftovers for lunch and I'm seriously considering going back tonight for more! I won't, cuz I have SOME self-control, but I know I'll be thinking about it ALL DAY LONG! I was told this place is 10/10 so I figured I would be disappointed. Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, I was not. Super highly recommend. Get some. Any pizza. All the pizzas. You cannot go wrong. If you don't like it, take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself what's wrong with you, because there ain't NOTHIN wrong with Lou Décou!

Not a huge menu, which I prefer, as it means they do what they do well. Pizza size is just right for one and all three of us enjoyed our selections--the vegetarian options are so good even the carnivores went for them. Service was friendly and prompt without being intrusive. A true gem hidden in the trending section of the North End!

Lou Pecou was AWESOME! They have a very extensive menu, including All-Day Breakfast. The pizzas are to die for, from house-made pizza crust to the freshest of ingredients. These aren't your regular take-out pizzas. Think gourmet! You will LOVE it!!!

Lou Pécou clearly prides themselves on quality food, service, and overall experience. It’s rare to find such a gem where everyone is working together to create something truly special. After a long search for the BEST gluten free pizza crust in Nova Scotia, this is IT! We were absolutely blown away by the fact that, if you didn’t know any better, you’d swear it was a beautifully crafted artisanal crust. The impeccably selected toppings were a treat! Highly recommend visiting Lou Pécou for the best pizza in the city and the highest guest care level we’ve experienced in a long time. Your only regret will be that you waited so long to try it!

Fabulous service and meal! Pizza is so good, delicious thin crust and fresh ingredients - try the spicy oil on it! We bought a bottle to take home. Save room for dessert because the tiramisu and dark chocolate cookies with sea salt are amazing😋 Highly recommend this place!

Really great pizza, excellent service, inventive selection of aperitifs, nice patio for people-and-dog-watching while eating, relatively quiet street by 6 pm
