We found Lou Lou on Market via a Google maps search. It was walking distance from where we were shopping so we made a reservation and were able to get an early reservation in the "standard" dining room. Now that we have been there, we see why the balcony or patio is a preferred spot. We ordered Bayou dip and boudin balls and both were delicious. Will definitely order next time. Because we rather full after the appetizers, we ordered the sampler to share which was delicious. It could have been warmer and we should have told our waiter right away. We mentioned it at the end of the meal and the manager was very gracious and did not charge us for our dessert. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and will make plans to go again in the near future.

We chose outside for a nice evening and the live band. The server seemed overwhelmed, we ran out of drinks; even asked the person bring dinner to the table if we could get a refill at least of our water. The mussels as a appetizer was decent, we had to ask another person in passing for plates to have to eat our appetizer Finally went to ask Joe at the bar outside, he graciously got us some water and said to ask him if we needed anything else to drink. The food was ok, I got the sampler. I am use to creole from the south having a little spice, that was missing and the food was luke warm temperature wise. The saving grace was the Banana Foster, the band and the personality of before mentioned Joe at the bar as he kept the area lively. I am just hoping we caught this place on a bad night, there is so much potential for this little restaurant in the NULU area.

I was very disappointed in my time here, I will probably never come back. It started off great, we ordered appetizers as soon as we ordered cocktails… Well it took over 25 mins for our appetizers. The table next to us came in after we did and got their appetizers AND food before us.. Also left before we even got food. Server kept reassuring that the food was coming but… I took another hour until we actually had dinner.. Not to mention, another table next to us came in an hour after our reservation and got their food before us. Talk about smack in the face. I understand things happen, but tbh it wasn’t even worth spending the money for. I don’t not recommend.

The service was extraordinarily poor. It took 45 minutes for the appetizer to come out and then the entrees came out almost immediately after that. Then I believe the server just gave up knowing that we had already had a bad experience so we never got waters refilled let alone order another drink. They did apologize when they brought the check that I only got after asking another server that we were ready for it. It then took another 10 minutes to get it back. The food was very average. The drinks were mediocre. There are far better places to spend 50 per person for a good dining experience. This was the second time there. The first time for lunch and it was also underwhelming but not terrible, so we thought we would give it another try for dinner. That was a big mistake.

The mahi was overdone and dry, chicken carbonara was excellent, boudin balls were delicious, shrimp and grits was only fair (not a lot of flavor and a bit rubbery) bananas foster cheesecake was wonderful. The staff were awesome. The chef needs to up his game. It is a great atmosphere . I would for sure try it again.

Just not what we expected. Service was very slow and the Cajun pasta was bland. It said creamy Cajun sauce but the sauce tasted like pasta water. Burgers were delicious

Omg!! I screwed up my reservation - should have made it for 6 but made for 4 - they bent over backwards to find us a table! And they were so busy! Our server Sarah was the bomb as well! This was our first time in and can’t wait to go back! The food was awesome!
