It was a beautiful night, so we opted to sit on the patio. The food was fabulous: shrimp and grits, crab cake, burger and shared the salmon lavosh as an appetizer. Everyone was delighted with their choice. Service was timely. The patio was a lovely experience, although for our senior ears, the music was a bit too loud. Absolutely will return!

The best flavors the food is amazing. I had the creole seafood fettuccini and the bread pudding for dessert delicious. My husband had the creole short rib it was tender delicious full of flavor.

Waitress was awesome! The sampler plate gave you a wonderful taste of four dishes Bourbon drinks very good.

Ate on outside patio. Awesome food and service. Want to go back on the weekend and check out the downstairs speakeasy next

4 of us went for the crawfish boil… Reservations at 5:00 ( the boil was over) Margarita was tasteless… weak, which our server immediately took away and brought another drink. Air was out inside the restaurant so, needless to say, it was too hot to really enjoy our meal.

Crawfish boil was not very good and we were seating on the top floor which was extremely far from the food which we had to get. The only saving grace for the entire restaurant was the exceptional wait staff. They were so friendly and just genuinely great people to talk to. If the food could have matched the service it would have been 5 stars across the board.

First time visitor: The service was excellent, along with the food. The young man taking care of us (though we cannot recall his name) was friendly, informative, and professional. I had the red beans and rice and having lived near New Orleans I can say that the chef absolutely nailed it. Just the right amount of spice and very flavorful. We also had beignets for dessert which satisfied the sweet tooth. The art, wall colors, and old building steps to the 2nd floor reminded me of N.O. Our only concern was the noise level. It was so hot outside that the windows could not be opened for some noise reduction. Overall though, Lou Lou should definitely be on your restaurant list.

I was really excited to visit Lou Lou on Market for the first time because I'd heard great things. I made reservations here for dinner knowing that my friend liked the restaurant, and we were celebrating her recent birthday so I wanted to make sure we went somewhere she'd spoken positively of before. When we arrived, the older man who was running the host area informed us that our table was outside. Since it was a hot, humid KY evening and my friend and I had plans at the theatre immediately afterward, I asked if we could be moved to sit inside. I commented that I'd requested a 'standard' table on the reservation. He spent a while complaining about OpenTable but eventually found a spot for us upstairs. While it was warm, it wasn't unbearable. There was one fan pointed in another direction which probably would've been better if it rotated. Getting to the table included a somewhat treacherous staircase which was even better because you have to also navigate with staff coming up and down it as well. Service was somewhat scattered at first but eventually he was much more attentive - we didn't feel neglected but I immediately regretted asking for another minute to decide on my entree, especially when I had paid for parking and time was precious. At the servers recommendation I got the mussels and was not disappointed. It was flavorful and filling enough that I was able to continue through the evening without feeling as though I should go to bed. My friend ordered a seafood pasta which she enjoyed as well. For dessert we had complimentary beignets (for the birthday girl) which came with a delicious chocolate dipping 'sauce' (it was more like an icing) that had a lovely pistachio flavor to it. I'd definitely return, but be more specific in my table choice on the reservation and will also definitely avoid the pay lots so I'm not stressing about time all evening.

Very good all around. Bar downstairs is very comfy! Good drinks. Good restaurant for dining and talking.
