Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries. Through her set menus, our guests can dine and enjoy recipes from over 100 years in the Chutima family.

The best Wonton soup I have ever tasted, broth was outstanding! The Northern Thai dishes were extremely flavourful , simply delicious! Definitely would recommend one to go to this restaurant. Coming back in my next visit to Vegas.

The four of us had dinner before a show. Waiter was fantastic and had some great suggestions. Enjoyed our meal and the overall experience

We order so many different dishes and one was better than the next. The Thai fried rice was amazing! We had it with veggies and another with pork. We also had Fried ribs, steamed seabass, egg rolls, shrimp rolls, and more. Everything was so good. The lychee hibiscus coctail hit the spot!

Diana was amazing. She steered us in the right direction, and the food was awesome. We are going to try the other locations in Vegas.

I came here with my girlfriend for our anniversary. We ordered the Crispy Garlic Prawns, Duck Curry, and the Khao Soy with Ribeye. The food was great, however the service was lackluster. Going in I had mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary and they said they’d do something special to help us celebrate at the end, however it seems they forgot. Also the wait for our food and for the check was longer than expected. We skipped dessert since we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. I defintely wouldn’t go here if you were celebrating a special day since it’s not as personable as I thought It would be.

Don’t really have much experience when it comes to Thai food but this place has dishes that are full of flavor! We will be eating here again on our next visit!

Do NOT park your car there at the flamingo location. My car window got smashed and the security cameras are not clear enough to be able to read license plates. Ive loved this restaurant since it opened and unfortunately cant go back after having to replace a window: before that the food was not good . My noodles were a ball of mush and the fish recommended was over cooked , then they charged me for extra curry that I used to fix the meal. The service was not good , He did not help the experience at all - pushy and seemed annoyed with me for no reason: After a decade bits time to say goodbye:

2 meals ordered but a mess up in the kitchen held up the 2nd order. We shared the first and having a laugh about going to jack in box as a back up. Thought it got better when 2nd dish arrived and waited a bit for the rice. Waitress didn’t say much other than sorry your meal will be out shortly. Crispy duck was getting the full treatment I guess. lol Won’t be back
