Lost Watering Hole, The Lancefield Brewery was born from a tiny idea two mates from Lancefield had one day whilst having a beer… “Let’s open a brewery!” They never expected that one day, several years later, Lost Watering Hole, The Lancefield Brewery would become the special place it is today. It all began in 1888, when Henry Lindsay bought the former flour mill in Lancefield and converted it into a brewery (God bless him…). Lindsay trademarked the name ‘The Trent Brewery’ and began producing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In the years that followed, the brewery changed hands many times, continuing to trade until early 1898, when it seems both the building and equipment were put up for auction, although it did not find a buyer. Sadly, a mysterious fire gutted the building the night after the auction, signalling its closure. Gladly, our brewery is lost no more… Today, we are proud to welcome you and your friends to Lancefield’s brewery, Lost Watering Hole.

We had Massaman Curry tonite. Serving looked a little small as delivered. Found that it ended up nearly beating us. Meat cooked so tender, Curry very tasty and all ingredients came through. The chefs in the venue certainly know what side of food is best , keep it going as it's magnificent

Decided to go here tonight,booked time don't like just rocking up. Hubby had barramundi in broth,delicious. I had seafood basket plentiful without being greasy,was delicious too. Also had hard lemonade and that was so refreshing. Sweets had lemon tart and waffles delicious too. We left saying that we will return again.

Great set up venue and the menu looks great. We decided to get the best steak as a treat but hit a hurdle when the chef wouldn’t adjust the menu for us. My mate has strict dietary restrictions so I didn’t let it go. We eventually got him to do a change for us but it was more work than it should have been. I understand that it’s hard, especially when busy, to adjust menu items but it was a quiet Tuesday evening. Then, unfortunately, the steaks came out Medium (ordered Medium rare). Good steak is still edible when over cooked but not ideal. Pale ale is good. I think I’ll give it another try sometime but not rushing back.

Immediate service on enter. Drinks priced and massive glasses make for a hot days thirst. The drinks need to be experienced for an inviting palette. Venue is a MASSIVE room with large windows for a View that could be transformed to a Waterfront or River. Specials on certain days are Filling and very tasty. The normal menu is efficient and well presented. Service is quick and timely. Noise Level is tolerable but for a basically oasis in a sea of district mediocrity the patter of tiny feet rushing through tables is a downer in a quality venue.

We went on a Tuesday night which happens to be taco night. The choice of tacos were barramundi, tofu or chicken. The tacos were pretty much half price as it’s a special Tuesday nights. That together with a No Do Do beer went down nicely. Service was timely and friendly staff.

Great food and people but booked for 18:45 as the previous visit at 19:00 had us waiting 45-1hr for meals (was very busy). Still had to wait 40min for meals and was only half full Still a great facility and great we have it as an option for dining

This place is amazing, the food the drinks the staff and building are great. The beers are delicious, try them all.

Food was delicious with a great selection of meats, beer and wines. Quiet spot to celebrate events with family with attentive staff. Cannot recommend enough!
