Los Tamarindos a Farm-to-Table Restaurant is located in San José del Cabo, at the tip of México's Baja Peninsula, only a mile from the Sea of Cortez. The farm and Restaurant occupied the side of a former 19th-century sugar cane plantation. In 2003, owner and excecutive chef Enrique Silva spearheaded the property's return to agriculture, this time becoming a sustainable farm, one if the first in the area.

We had a great meal and drinks on Saturday night. We asked for 3 separate checks and they accommodated that request without issue. It was a little breezy when we arrived and our waiter was happy to bring over a heater which was perfect! We had an Old Fashion and Margaritas and they were perfect. Then each ordered different entrees! I had the sea bass which was served on hummus and prepared perfectly. My friend had the Cornish hen which was served with sweet potatoe and grilled egg plant. Delicious! My brother ordered the shrimp which were 8 large shrimp with beans. We will definitely be back!

Disappointing experience. The food and drink were average. The service way below average. Our waiter asked us if we were giving 15 percent tip. He was very put out by it. If he had checked in with us, hadn’t left us waiting, and had been at all pleasant we would have tipped a standard 20 percent. Would not go back.

Excellent food!!! Service was good. Music not too loud. The food was the highlight. Fresh delicious and beautiful presentation.

I did find the lamb a bit dry and not up to par with my expectations. Beautiful farm though and burrata and other dishes were good. But $250 for dinner for 2 is a bit steep. Did take awhile to get our bill at the end.

Tamarindos is authentic. Simple but special. Delicious but unapologetically expected. And the roasted carrots will blow your mind.

Lovely outlook and ambience but sadly the food didn’t match other local establishments. Totally no flavour and to be honest - particularly the prawns did not match refried beans for me. How on a Saturday evening there is no beef either?

The greater Cabo area is crowded with amazing dining experiences. For those looking for a tremendous farm-to-table / sea-to-table experience, Tamarindos is a must visit. The Giant Blue Shrimp might be the best shrimp - period.
