In 2007, Mariano Codaro and Costa Grillas met in Miami and after working together for almost a decade, they followed their dreams of teaming up to open up a quaint boutique restaurant. They pictured a place where residents from the community could feel at home and enjoy a great meal at a fair price with impeccable service. Loretta and the Butcher is that dream fulfilled!

If you are visiting Or live in Coconut Grove then this restaurant is a must visit. The menu is extensive and varied so it caters for all dietary needs, we both had Argentinian steaks and they were cooked to perfection. You can tell a restaurant that is confident in its food when there’s no condiments on the table. Wish we were here for longer as it would be worth a few more visits.

Love the food here, first time having a bad experience because of the -non existent- service. Our waitress was too busy talking with coworkers that she did not check on us or noticed we did not have water, wanted to order another botle of wine or even our food. We waited amd waited, decided to leave after the appetizer.

Location. ambience and service were good. I think if I would have ordered beef, I'd had a better experience. However, I ordered grilled half chicken and it really looked and tasted like ordinary rotisserie chicken. For what I paid considering side dishes need to be ordered as it does not come as part of the main dish, it was not a good value proposition.

Loretta and the Butcher was a fabulous choice. We had excellent service in English, Italian and Spanish! The menu was varied and interesting. Our waitress helped us select a great wine and the noise level was low enough so we could have a conversation. Try the cauliflower appetizer. Great meal and great ambiance.

A first time visit to Loretta and the Butcher. Our daughter, who lives in Coconut Grove, had heard great things regarding this restaurant. We invited a few friends to join us for lunch Sunday and had a party of 6 outside. Laura P. saved the whole experience with her warmth and service skills. Four of us had the Loretta burger; it was mediocre at best. Aaron had the torta, with nary a sprig of parsley or any garnish what so ever. Oily, and he only ate 1/2 of it. My husband had the chicken and waffles. Dry, dry, dry. He did not finish it. So no, we would not recommend, nor will we be back. Thankfully this was our first meal of our long weekend in Coconut Grove, and every restaurant after was fabulous. Laura P our server received a 25% cash tip; the only way to tip your waiter. Jules

From the moment we checked in with the Hostess, our experience was excellent. The waitress knew all about the wine list. She sold us on the Caesar salad is an appetizer. I got the skirt, steak, medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. The veggies sides were great. The waitress also was telling us all about her home in Argentina.

Nice spot. God quality meat, however their seasoning game is off. The burger was totally unseasoned and flavorless, only the alioli and bacon made up for the bland ro. The fries were crispy but way too salty. The chocolate cheesecake was likewise flavorless and dependent on fruit to flavor it. We aren’t likely to return.

The food was delicious and service was fast and friendly. We sat outdoors on a beautiful Miami night. We found prices to be on the high side especially since entrees do not come with any sides; you need to order those in addition to the entree. All in all we had a nice experience and we would definitely return.

This use to be a great place to come for lunch as they had an extensive "Business Lunch" menu are a very reasonable price. Now they raised the prices a bit and limited the menu to almost nothing. The food and the service are still amazing but again, I'm now going to limit how often I go. To bad! I don't understand why places can't leave a good thing alone.
