D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Un des 50 restaurants préférés du New York Times en 2024, l'Orange ravit par ses petits plats méditerranéens raffinés aux influences du nord-ouest du Pacifique, ainsi que par ses vins soigneusement sélectionnés dans une atmosphère accueillante et chaleureuse. Il a rapidement séduit les critiques locaux·ales et les convives, qui se pressent pour déguster des plats comme la soupe à l'ail rôti et aux raisins ou le chou-fleur poché et grillé accompagné de granola au curry. This little French restaurant is a treasure. We had a selection of plates: French onion soup, chicken liver tart, gnocchi, salad and they gifted me a cake for my birthday. Everything was lovely. Because the space is kind of unique (our room was small and the small round tables were placed side by side) it felt a little awkward to visit with our friends. However it won’t keep me from returning.

I loved my time at L’Orange. Exquisite food, kind servers (shoutout to Jeff), beautiful atmosphere. The duck confit is incredible. I’ve celebrated two birthdays here and will continue to make this a tradition.

Cool vibes with excellent food, wine and service! We had a delicious French onion soup, the beautifully presented cheese rosette , the pork, and the amazing orange cake with Earl Grey ice cream. All were excellent. The superb service was attentive and informative, directing us to lovely wines to pair with our meal. We tried an orange wine for the first time and loved it, as well as a very nice sparkling wine, Sauvignon Blanc and a Barbera. It’s a gem in the PDX dining scene.

L'Orange attends to what they do in a warm, consistent, exquisite manner. I appreciate that I have the opportunity and the resources to dine there. I worked over 30 years in the restaurant world and I never feel my old restaurant self coming online reflexively trying to address issues in the restaurant. And that says nothing about or to the food that never stop pleasing.

The food is always a delightful adventure, and the menu offers plenty of playful options to explore. The bar is a charming spot to sit back, enjoy the cheese machine in action, and indulge in some prime people-watching. Each table, tucked in its own cozy nook, seems perfectly suited for either solo musings or lively conversations. The wine pairings are thoughtfully curated, and for me, it’s the kind of place where discovering new flavors feels like a joyful treasure hunt.

The food was delicious. The uniqueness of each dish and blend of flavors was superb. Great staff, attentive without being intrusive.

Five of us ate at L'Orange and sat at the counter. It was a lot of fun to chat with the server and try different wines before ordering a glass. We sampled most of the food offerings by choosing plates to share. It was all delicious!
