Rescued from demolition in San Marcos, our historic venue, reconstructed in 1996, echoes with the resilience of Longleaf Pine Forests that once spanned the Southeastern United States. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful, the chef came out and spoke to us, and was so kind! Our food was delicious - *get the fried olives! * We ate outside and it was beautiful, it was quiet and peaceful. We hope to come back soon, we really enjoyed everything about the restaurant and every single thing we ordered.

The food was delicious and very flavorful. The stuffed olives were AMAZING. The Chef personally came out to greet us, chat and make sure that everything was top notch. Service was quick and we were seated as soon as we arrived for our reservation with no wait. Definitely recommend and will be back to try a few other things.

Devil egg appetizer was fantastic. The ribeye had a outstanding flavor and the bread pudding was definitely a must order again.

Food was amazing! Everything taste top notch. Service left much to be desired. Our server didn’t know the answer when I asked what was the “soup of the day” and had to be reminded of certain things we ordered.

Lasagna was dry and very small portion, do not recommend. $5 charge for small wedge of bread. Expensive for mediocre food.

The food and service was excellent! I had the shrimp/avocado/wild rice salad. Never would have thought of putting these ingredients together but it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the pork chop and enjoyed it also.

Made a reservation but got there and told only outdoor seating was available - it is 100 out. Cocktail showed up and was too warm to drink and they served deviled eggs with a big old fried oyster on top. The oyster was clearly out of a can or frozen and tasted fishy. And even worse it warmed up the deviled egg which made it inedible. I order the catch of the day which came out so overcooked I had to send it back. My wife got the “wagyu” burger which was definitely not wagyu and ordered it medium - of course it came out well done but it was edible so we shared that and a side salad for $100. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
