    Party of 8 for my daughter’s birthday. Waiter was friendly although service was poor quality, table left uncleaned for much to long…. Food was not very good! We brought a special birthday cake that required to be refrigerated at arrival and it was specified on arrival , they did not do that and brought out the birthday cake to the table in the BOXE!!! Then proceeded to destroy the cake boxe and the boxe was trown out before we were finished eating! VERY disappointed over all of our dinner at Lonestar. We will not go back there.

    Lone Star is fine for a quick, super casual meal. We are vegan so there are very limited choices for us, but we managed to find something. We were with a group. It is disappointing to me that there is not a "classic" margarita on the menu without all the sugary syrup. Your marg's are all WAY too sweet. Just some tequila, Grand marnier, lime juice and ice would make a lovely addition to your offerings. I will say that the young man who served us was very attentive and helpful.

    Not very attentive service; had to request water on more than one occasion, had to request utensils which came after the food was delivered, had to ask for additional napkins. One of our party qualified ingredients of her item, stating that she could not eat sweet peppers, was assured that none were in that dish. Upon being served, peppers were in her meal so she sent it back with clear instructions. Once again, it was brought with peppers in it. By now, the rest of us were more than halfway through our meals so she declined to order another dish. Both the servers that took her order apologized for the miscommunication & inconvenience but my friend ended up having to eat when she got home. Food for us was great but service clearly lacking. Thankfully it wasn't a severe allergy or it could have ended up a much worse result. Thankfully it wasn't a

    Food prepared well vs some other LS locations. Lovely server Tennessee who was very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions.

    To celebrate his 21st birthday, our son picked Lone Star (Byward Market, Ottawa) for our family celebration. It’s his favourite restaurant. The rest of our party of six had never been to a Lone Star restaurant before. The staff was absolutely exceptional! They were energetic, smiling, polite and focused on us having a memorable evening. More than excellent service!!! And the food? My Lord was it good! Large portions, none of us left hungry. We started off with drinks including Bull Dogs with Coronitas and three platters of nacho chips (queso, pico de gallo and guac). We all loved this guac that was freshly made at our table: divine! Then, we had chicken and steak fajitas, ribs, chicken strips and finished with apple crips with ice cream. Very high praise for management who lets their servers be replaced for a dinner break. We had never ever seen this in a restaurant. No wonder staff is so pleasant and works so hard at your restaurant: you respect them and treat them well. So, all around, we had a perfect experience. Kudos to the entire Lone Star, Byward Market, team, other restaurants should model their places after you. Thank you : )
