This was our first visit and we enjoyed ourselves. Our server was Vanessa and she did an excellent job. We had never tried guacamole and we loved it. The only thing I would do differently on my next visit is when I order the 2 cheeseburger sliders I would ask for fries rather the the cheese dip since we had enough dipping with the appetizer and I found the burgers messy to eat but they were delicious.

Very noisy restaurant. Not the place to go if you want to have conversations. More of a bar vibe. The food is good. I miss the free baked tortillas and salsa. Also a little pricey.

Our Lonestar always seemed busy, long lines and whatnot so we are completely confused as to why they changed it. We have loved the fajitas for more than a decade and it feels like they have changed something that wasn’t broken. We ate half our meals at best. Even our server told us she still goes to other locations that still have the original menu. We miss the Tex-mex. Many of the new flavours seemed odd. Instead of sour cream with the fajitas we were served a ‘creama’ with tahini seasoning on it. Tahini is great in the right foods - but not fajitas. The seasonings on both the chicken and the steak have also changed. We were very disappointed.

I love the new renovations to Lonestar Cantina. Beautiful atmosphere, very adult, perfect for a date night or a ladies night out. Enjoyed a delicious Bellini and the fish tacos and the cheese and chicken taquitos were delish! The table side guac freshly made right in front of us was a great touch. And also delicious. We will definitely be back.

We have been loyal Whitby Lonestar customers for almost 20 years. The change to the Cantina is not a good one! The flavours are not good - it's like a cilantro overkill! The table side guacamole was delicious but the portion was incredibly small for $16! The fajitas - they were lacking flavour, small portion and once again cilantro overkill. Also $3 for an extra fajita boat - that's horrible! I'm disappointed to say that we will not return to the Cantina.

The new decor was bright and festive but the new menu was limited and leaned more to a Mexican theme. The prices were high for the potion size. The bar also had limited selections. For me, after enjoying Lone Star for many years this new look is a one and done. I won’t be back.

Very disappointed with the lone star cantina. Lone star is (was?) my absolute favourite restaurant that I would often make the 1 hour drive for. Won’t be going to the cantina again. Favourite drinks gone, no more free chips, flavour of fajitas has changed, prices have gone WAY up, music was extremely loud, and it just wasn’t the same lone star feel. I will still go to other lone star locations (hoping they won’t be turning into a cantina), but not this one again

Our experience was excellent! Our server Michael was very friendly and accomodating. The fiid was great, good value.
