The food was mediocre (could tell some came right out of Sysco packaging, not homemade), service was a bit slow, ambiance was farm like for sure--to include the flies and portion size was mediocre at best and the value for $$ was a thumbs down.

My wife and I loved this restaurant. Very quiet and beautiful outdoor space. Great wine selection, and good food. We made a reservation for next month after we were done with our dinner!

The food, service & value was amazing. We sat on the patio and it was beautiful. Our server made great suggestions and left a funny note on my leftover carry out container.

I have been to Lola's many times, sometimes with girlfriends and sometimes with another couple. It is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent and homemade which is why it is so good since the cook(s) are great. They also frequently add specials and/or new dishes and I have never been disappointed! Servers that I have had were always polite, bright and smiling as well as very interested in making sure the experience is a good one. Seating is close and very comfortable inside, actually cozy and the rooms have interesting paintings making great conversation pieces. The outdoor seating in good weather is also lovely. Nice courtyard with trees and tiny lights making it always feel special. I love this place and will continue to go there often. Thank you, Lola's!!!!

Service was not the best. Brunch ends at 2 and they had open reservations available at 1:30. We took the 1:30 and expected good service but seemed like the cook wanted to end, since it was close to 2 pm. If a restaurant does not want to cook or serve close to their closing time, they need to adjust their reservations to not allow seats open past a certain time. In addition, my lettuce had dirt in it, assuming it was freshly picked, but they need to thoroughly wash the lettuce before serving to customers.

We went to Lola's to celebrate my birthday. We sat outside for brunch and loved the beautiful garden atmosphere. Our waitress, Sarah Grace, was very helpful and made great suggestions, like the Bellini sampler! The food was delicious and we ALL enjoyed our meals. Check out the cute boutique too! We will be back!

I went to Lola's the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was so good I had to take my husband back for his birthday. I think it's the best restaurant in the whole Richmond area. The menu provides lots of options -- everything looks good and everything we tried at each visit was a hit. For appetizers we had mushrooms stuffed with sausage in a delicious sauce, followed by a very large pear and blue cheese salad. My husband had the shrimp and scallops pasta, while I got an amazing grilled shrimp cocktail with four enormous, perfectly cooked shrimp. They also have excellent dessert options. My husband loved his caramel sundae with cotton candy. On my prior visit, our group shared the messy brownie with ice cream and the tartufo, which was a highlight. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is very comfortable with inside and outside seating. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and preparation of the food. Love this place and will definitely be back.
