Amazing, world-class food and service. My only quibble with this restaurant is the weird seating. Some of the booths are jam-packed, requiring the table to be pulled out in order for the people in the back of the booth to exit. Despite multiple, freestanding tables for 2 and 4, they will preferentially seat people in these claustrophobic booths, including separate parties. So our romantic dinner for 2 turned into feeling like we were part of the business dinner only inches away from us. And heaven forbid someone on the inside of the booth needs to use the restroom. It will require the entire party to stand and the table to be pulled out. If you go here and are less than a party of 6, ask for a standalone table.

The prawn carpaccio gave me stomach cramps - it tasted off when I tried it and I had to send it back. The cost of the prawn carpaccio was taken off the bill and we were asked if we wanted anything else but nothing else was done to acknowledge the complaint that the dish didn’t taste right. The waiter’s response to my comment that the prawn carpaccio made my stomach feel funny was “that’s odd”. The pasta was very average - the lobster linguini had no lobster flavor, and just had small pieces of lobster added to it, with a single tiny lobster leg (not the claw, but a tiny back leg).

What a nice restaurant. The food was outstanding, this the Michelin rating and it is well deserved. The waiter was attentive, the food was superb and the ambiance was second to none. Please try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Shockingly good food (since we didn’t have any prior knowledge) that was beautifully presented, with attentive and engaged service, in a friendly, attractive space. Lively, but not too noisy to have a conversation. For starters, the eggplant with pesto was perfect, and the buratta with ripe peach and tomato granita was excellent. Lemon sole and lemon chicken entrees were intensely flavorful with the wonderful fresh tomato flavors shining through. The vanilla and apricot soufflé similarly elevated -without drowning out- the fruit flavors. Great wine recommendations too, especially the Torcolato dessert wine which I hadn’t had before. Relatively expensive compared with the usual more casual Italian meal, but worth every penny for a special occasion. Highly recommended!!

Localda locantelli The entrance was not really welcome,one could think it was closed, after that the door-ward was quite professional , I was well seated. My waiter was a nervous woman. I ordered still water and she brought me first the crostini but forgot the water . After that she came with the water, yet I noticed, there were stains on the glass on my table. They changed the glass for a new and clean one. I ordered a cocktail the old Martinez, this cocktail was a big plus point as it was a very good one, but i would have liked if the decoration was a bit more exciting. After that I ordered all the food, I haven’t got any explanation about the card or the food itself. After a short period of waiting time I got my first dish the burrata. The burrata had a good puristic presentation, I really enjoyed the combination of mango, tomato and the burrata, overall it was really balanced in the acidity and the sweet. Between the waiting times I really enjoyed the crostini. I got my prima (first maindish ) which was the tagliatelle al ragú e pecorino. It was not really a ragú it was kind of a goulash what wasn’t particularly bad because it contained fine parts of lamb and it would have been sad to be grinded into some minced meat. The tagliatelle felt selfmade and was aldente. The pecorino was real. After that I got the gnocchi in cheese sauce and tartufo, it would have been great if the waiters would work together one bringing the dish and the other one grating the tartufo, unfortunately I needed to wait until my food was a bit cold. From there on I got the lemon chicken, it was not my kind of taste as the chicken was not completely tender and I couldn’t taste lemon nor acidity in it. Overall I cannot say, that I was enjoying the restaurant entirely and would not have guessed that this place has a Michelin star, if I would not know. I would be pleased if this restaurant would be tested again from the commission.

Eating at Locanda is such a treat.....the food is exceptional as is the service....I had the cuttlefish pasta with squid ink and the tiramisu....simply exceptional!!!
