Locanda dell’Orso is inspired by the old legend of the Innkeeper and the Bear. Here you’ll find the ambiance of a warm Italian home, built on the promise of a welcoming and indulgent culinary experience throughout. Fresh pasta made in house daily, with dishes found across Northern and Coastal Italy, ingredients are sourced locally from small farms and imported especially from the Italian regions from which they are best known.

Really nice dinner. Octopus, risotto, sablefish, brisket all very tasty and easy to share too. Tiramisu is a must have here! Thank you for the complementary lemoncello!

We recently visited the restaurant and it was such a great experience. Tried the chef experience menu and all the dishes were very unique and executed in a very modern way. Gnocchi and ravioli were terrific. The room was full, but the service was excellent, very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back. The limoncello on the house at the end was such a lovely surprise. Thank you

This restaurant was terrible. The service was awful, menu limiting. We ordered starters which never came, our pastas were served luke warm. Even after we sent our food back it returned wrong. A so-called Italian restaurant and it ran out of focaccia bread which one could have purchased for $10. Don’t waste your hard earned money!!

Excellent first visit! It’s exactly what I’m looking for in a neighborhood Italian trattoria. Excellent service, food and vibe. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful and was right there to top up wine glasses and ensure all was going well. The food was absolutely delicious and the vibe was great. We will definitely return!

Brilliant food backed by warm service. The ravioli with the saffron and parmesan sauce is a dish I want to eat again and again.

I took my parther to this restaurant to celebrate our Anniversary, and was really looking forward for a great experience but it ended up being a total disaster! First, even though there were only two tables busy as we entered the place, we were offered a table right next to the restaurant's entrance while outside a chilly atmospheric river was coming down. You may think that maybe it's because all the other tables were reserved, but during our 90 minutes in the restaurant most of the other tables stayed empty. That being said, we asked for another table and were given one. Then the rose wine we wanted to order wasn't available anymore, only the more expensive one was. The waiter suggested that instead we take a bottle of their "house rose" instead of glasses and we agreed on it even though it ended up still being a $90 bottle for "house wine". The first rose bottle the waiter opened was warm! Rose should be at least slightly chilled around 10c max. So I had to send back the bottle, and the server came with a second one of the house rose which was barely any cooler than the first one, but as it was our Anniversary Celebration: I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere for my partner nor create a discomfort nor drama so we kept the second bottle. Nothing extraordinary about the rose's taste though ... for a $90 bottle. Then the food experience started. I am only going to write about my experience. With a set of olives that we had received 20mn before our appetizers, i had the Polpo Alla Luciana: it was a disaster as it was not tender at all and totally rubbery . Overcooked definitely! It would have been easier to eat a shoe sole probably. And for my main dish that we got served 30mn later after we had finished our appetizers (and the restaurant was not busy at all to explain such a long wait between dishes), the Tagliatelle Nere were again TOTALLY OVERCOOKED! It ended being a mushy salty pasta texture swimming in a tasteless black sauce. Just awful overpricedexperience!

Went there for lunch. Tasty fresh pasta, great service. We work in the area and we will definitely be back. New favorite spot for lunch.

Had the ravioli ossobuco, agnolotti, and risotto. Everything was perfectly executed. Very knowledgeable servers, explaining the dishes and wine in a very friendly but professional way. On the 100$ plus, but definitely worth it. Highly recommend .
