In a charming departure from informal dining in Fort Worth, we offer gourmet creative family-style dinners of artfully prepared American comfort food Friday and Saturday nights. Our concept is simple: just one daily-changing prix fixe menu—which includes a first course, entrée, and dessert—is served family-style by our wonderful team in our unpretentious “farmhouse” surroundings. Such a great meal and experience! A bit noisy this time , but didn’t ruin the dinner my 4some had. We’ll be back😊

Once in a while visit, they have regulars living in community. Good to V. Good food however know for its breakfast and deli style gourmet options.

Food is great, always. The ambiance is more of a lunch experience, although evening is nice, just super casual

Local Kitchen has some real highs and lows. They did a great job of transforming the restaurant from family style to couples night for valentine’s. The prix fixed menu was well balanced. The avocado citrus salad was amazing! The flavors all blended together. The sides were also amazing! The scalloped gruyere potatoes were the best we have ever had. The mushrooms and the asparagus were delicious. Our server, Alice, had much to be desired. After she took our order, she came back and few minutes and it seemed she hadn’t seen us before and took our order again as if we were new. It was the first sitting if the evening and no one had bee at our table yet. My husband ordered his lamb “medium” and I ordered my steak Diane medium. Alice said the chef recommended rare or medium rare. I asked her to the medium rare and stated I still wanted medium .... pink in the middle. My steak came rare. Even my husband wouldn’t taste it and he likes medium rare. He contacted Alice and she took my sides and steak. I requested a plate to keep my sides and Alice told me no. I sat with no food for a few minutes , then she brought my sides and several more minutes brought my steak. Since it had not been cooked in the sauce it was not the same as a steak not cooked more. The steak was disappointing between the waiting and not being cooked as ordered. Dessert- we asked Alice if we could see them. She came back later and asked if we saw the dessert when she delivered them to several tables over. No, we didn’t see them. The chocolate cake was very dry and just not good. The lemon mousse nice and creamy but not very tart. My husband wanted to box his own food and Alice argued back and forth 3 times before agreeing to bring the box. It wasn’t ugly, just unpleasant. We won’t be back to the restaurant mainly due to the service, but might try the deli.

This tore us all into a correction frenzy. We are beyond sorry for your experience. How lucky we are that you cared enough to let us know - now we can just get better and correct, teach and then do it all over again. Your evening should have been perfect and well, it wasn't. I wish there were a way to reach you - if you come in, please ask for the owner. Please give us another try - we have amazing team members - they really do care - I assure you that corrections have been made. Thank you

Everything was wonderful. Our table was ready on arrival, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Each course was perfectly timed, we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed one of the family-style dinners with a friend. The food was delicious, plentiful and the presentation was nice. Service was attentive but not overly so. It was a nice evening out in a relaxed atmosphere.

Salads, entrees, sides, and deserts are always full of flavor and delicious. Portions are generous. We love the Friday and Saturday night dinners. We enjoy bringing our own wine with a $5 per person charge.

Absolutely love all the food - the breakfast sandwich is to die for, and the chicken pot pie is sinfully delicious - and we are truly in love with the family-style dinners on weekends. BYOB is an option, which is nice, but there are good wines available on-site, as well.
