Seating in the Lobby Lounge is currently available on a walk in basis. Register when you arrive at the lobby by seeing our host near the bar area.

The Lobby Lounge is a destination where art and architecture are emphasized. Guests find themselves in the 90-seat Lobby Lounge – an urban living room – where natural light streams through two-story windows highlighting large scale paintings, sculpture and an Italian handcrafted Fazioli piano set amid furniture vignettes in contemporary dove-grey leather sofas and chairs.

We usually go to the Winsor Arms for tea but thought we’d try something different this time and sadly, we were very disappointed. It was wildly expensive (almost $500 for 4 of us) and we honestly didn’t like any of the food. I hate to be negative, but other than the ambiance being nice, can’t think of much positive to say. We wouldn’t have minded paying so much if it had been as delicious as we’d hoped, but alas…. Tea wasn’t hot either. Sorry to say, that we won’t be rushing back anytime soon. Back to the Winsor arms for us.

Our recent Sky-High afternoon tea at Shangri-La Toronto fell short due to poor service. During our two-hour session, our initial server appeared only three times to serve tea, delivery the tray and inform us of her departure. Afterward, we waited in vain for more tea and were not provided with the boarding pass required to participate in the Cathay Pacific draw, despite the opportunity being advertised. We had to follow up separately to learn how to enter, which was inconvenient. Service lapses like these overshadowed an otherwise pleasant setting and ambiance.

I went here for my birthday with a few friends, and the service was amazing. We had quite a few dietary restrictions, but the chef made sure to make us an entirely separate menu to accommodate them, which I really appreciated.

After coming back from the pandemic era, the experience isn’t the same as it used to be. While the ambience is lovely, it didn’t feel we got the bang for buck that we used to. This was disappointing especially with such fond memories at the space getting tea.

All of the food was delicious in our Cathay Pacific inspired Afternoon Tea. The staff were attentive but never rushed us. What all 4 of us didn’t like was how loud the piano was. This prevented us from hearing each other talk. We also didn’t find the table/seating to be comfortable. The seats are too far from each other. We prefer a more intimate tea experience.They did seat us as far from the piano as possible but it was still too loud.

This is my 3rd time going for afternoon tea at the lobby lounge and we've never had an issue and have always enjoyed our time. It wasn't super busy the day my friend and I went so we weren't rushed and stayed for about 3.5 hours enjoying our time and the ambiance.

Beautiful place and great experience! Wish they refill your tea pots often and with fresh hot tea like it should be done at high tea! They should take notes on the service and presentation from the Shangri-la staff in London England Overall was a beautiful and unique experience. Thank you!
