This is a landmark restaurant located in a historic Louisville hotel that is beautiful. The service is excellent, our wait person, Mathew understands that he is providing an experience not just delivering food. We would highly recommend the restaurant’s original dish which was invented there, the “Hot Brown.” My lamb was great and my wife really enjoyed her scallops! Overall, a great food and service experience for our final evening in Louisville and Kentucky!

A must-visit if you are interested in the Hot Brown and an extensive menu of bourbon to choose from, including several different bourbon flights. Loved the additional delivery of the actual bourbon bottles behind each tasting so we could read about the bourbon and where it is produced.

Great atmosphere and service. Ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown, it was excellent. I would have it again. Also had a Mint Julep which was very nice.

Food was very good but I ordered the full size hot brown because I wanted leftovers. 6 of our party ordered hot browns, some petite and some full. when they came, all but 1 had the same amount of turkey, but we were told a full size has 2 pieces of bacon and 8oz of turkey. Apparently the cook had a bunch of petite cuts and then just threw 2 pieces of bacon on top to hide it and pass it off as a full size portion. So I paid $9 for that piece of bacon, essentially. Despite pointing this out, the server told us we were wrong, so that really tainted my meal. Again the food was very tasty.

Took a couple of friends from out of town here to experience their first Hot Brown at The Brown and they were not disappointed. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Our server was very good and attentive and they kept our water glasses full. Will be back again soon!

They've changed the scallop recipe, it's too salty to taste, please don't not sear if with salt and pepper, plain had been the best companion with the veggies you have. Also, the crab cake was removed from the menu, which had been the best crab cake ever we always go for. It was a disappointed experience for an excited out-of-state relatives gathering. Nothing to complain about the service or servers or else, it just totally wrong with the updated menu/recipe.

First time at the Brown, and it's a beautiful hotel. Food was great and there was music. Dessert was definitely a winner though. Definitely recommended for a great experience.

Dining at the Hostoric Brown hotel is sheer delight. Old world charm coupled with exceptional food and wine highlights a stay in Louisville. The hearty osso buco melts in your mouth! The farmer’s market salad balances sweet and savory flavors perfectly. Delicious! We ordered a 2009 Amarone and savored every sip. Brunch in the morning did not disappoint, either. We enjoyed fresh fruit, and vegetable omelette made to order. Last note: The Hot Brown is a decadent splurge that must be experienced at least once in a lifetime. A classic!

One of my bucket list items was to have my favorite meal at the place it originated, the Hot Brown from the Brown Hotel! And it lived up to my expectations! SOOO GOOD! Everyone was friendly, and the ambiance was perfect.
