Llerena takes its name from a little village in Extremadura, southwest Spain, where four generations of our family has raised Iberian pigs since 1939, producing authentic "Bellota" jamón ibérico, chorizo and other pork delicacies. Our family created a business around the farm called Jamón y Salud to sell our gourmet products and has now brought this exquisite taste of Spain to Islington with the Llerena Ibérico Tapas Bar. Not only can you sample ibérico pork grilled meats and finest jamón, but also creamy Torta del Casar cheese and other traditional Extremadura's delights as well as the best wine from our region.

    We squeezed in early evening before a gig at the Assembly Hall. It couldn’t have been more perfect - each dish was packed with flavour and we were so well looked after. Just sad we’re not more local!

    We enjoyed our meal at Llerena and the service was friendly and efficient. The background music was not too intrusive. I would give them a higher score if they catered better to special dietary needs. Decaf coffee and gluten free bread would have been welcome, but I liked this restaurant and would like to return on one of their flamenco nights.

    Very pleased we chose Llerena yesterday afternoon. Really well flavoured Tapas dishes, very good white wine, attentive servers. An enjoyable light early dinner.

    Welcome, atmosphere and service all very good. Food was delicious and obviously good quality ingredients, especially meats and cheeses. Ordered cheapest red wine which was still very good. Reasonable value given quality and current cost of living. Would eat here again.

    Fantastic authentic food. Great service. Reasonably priced. Couldn't fault in anyway. Very quiet when we went, but it was a rainy Tuesday night.

    Good food, small portions. Not good value for money. Friendly service and attention. We were a large group 10+ and they could not accommodate us at the same table. We would have appreciated if we had been informed in advance. Hard to find a Spanish restaurant in London that ticks all the boxes.
