Ouvert en 2006, le Liv's Oyster Bar est rapidement devenu une destination de prédilection à Old Saybrook. Inspiré par sa fille Olivia et après des années d'expérience dans la restauration, le propriétaire John Brescio a souhaité accueillir les visiteurs à sa table familiale. I have lived within 20 minutes of this restaurant for 35 years and I can't believe we do not think to come here more often. We had a couple visiting from Atlanta and the reason I thought of Liv's was we ate here many years ago when they were here for another visit. The food was outstanding and we did things a little differently. We each enjoyed our own amazing appetizers, our friends split a shrimp appetizer while my wife had a delicious and generous portion of fried calamari (too large to finish and too yummy to leave behind). I enjoyed a uniquely presented and delish order of tuna tartar served on top of an avocado half and homemade potato chips. We decided for our dinners we would share all four entrees: broiled scallops, fried rice with seafood, blackened swordfish and grilled tuna. The meals were amazing and there was nothing left on anyone's plate. Last but certainly not least, our server was amazing. Thank you to everyone who made our experience at Liv's memorable, we will not be waiting this long to return again!!!

Service was great and took back the dessert (peach Melba) that I found not to my liking as I never heard of it with hard meringue. He was very good natured about all! Rest of our meal was outstanding. I will come again very soon.

Been eating at Liv’s for over 10 years my favorite summer spot. But in the recent years the menu has not been the same and it seems the food and selections are not what they used to be. Not happy with livs anymore

To celebrate our 40th anniversary, my wife and I had any number of fine restaurants to choose from, but she wanted to enjoy our special occasion at Liv's. We're so glad we did. We arrived slightly early, but the staff greeted us with a smile and seated us directly. Our waitress was warm and attentive. The food was outstanding. They have a well-balanced selection of beverages, from mixed drinks to fine wines to draft beers. In addition to specials and happy hour offerings, the appetizer, starter and dinner menus are uncomplicated and interesting. My wife loved the seared scallops. My blackened swordfish was fresh and perfectly cooked (when the new manager stopped by to see how we were doing, I told her it was the best I'd ever had... It truly was). Desserts were delicious. My wife and I reflected on our dining experience on the way home and we were so glad she decided on Liv's to celebrate our anniversary. It was perfect!

My husband and I come here while we’re at Waters edge every year. I love the oysters. They are fresh and delicious. We had the calamari for the first time and it was amazing and we shared the seafood fried rice, which is always excellent. Wish we had room for dessert because they looked fabulous.

Great service. Loved the oyster sampler and our burrata. Dinners were good too. It was a bit loud but it’s was a busy night. Definitely recommend to others.
